I got a fix it email two years ago that said I had an employment history gap. To date I have not found such gap. All dates are linked from end date to start date dating back to HS. I cleaned up my app as far as dates were concerned and promptly sent them an email back thanking them and saying I believed to have rectified the issue. Crickets since then. I have networked my way through friends and acquaintances all the way to AK who said my app had been scored and I'm "currently not among the most competitive candidates". So, in the end, I don't know if it is in the circular file or still on the pile waiting for them to get to tier 67.
This is the most frustrating thing I've ever done. I feel like their system is so unknown (how they want it) and no feedback is given to anyone so if it is a simple fix or a misunderstanding, I could never know about it to fix it, explain it, or improve on it. While in their eyes, they have more applicants than they can shake a stick at, I feel like a lot of good people are falling through the cracks that don't need to be. Anyway, rant over...when I can get hired and work there for a long time and get myself appointed to run the selection committee I will be able to do things my way but until then, I will keep my head up and press on like everyone else.
Good luck!

You can be sued now if you ask that question in an interview. You can't even ask a person where they are from?

I would've answered: "I missed my wedding day because I was [I]still[I] filling out your airline apps application."

Glad to know I'm not the only one that feels like this.

Amen to this^^^^^^^!!! Pilot dude, I don't get it either. I know once we get the interview our credentials will matter and play a huge aspect of getting the job. I just can't figure out the selection team and AK's process. What's the magic? Maybe if we pull a Bruce Jenner that will get us the attention to be selected .
