Delta Hiring News

I didn't realize that was a rumor. I had heard the complete opposite (and if memory serves me, I am about 100% sure that a few pages back, I posted written internal ppt documentation to prove how highly Delta values education). I wrote about how they actually look very highly on master's degrees and other education/professional development. So, no, I don't see them foregoing the college degree requirement any time soon.
FedEx and Southwest still require a bachelors. United and UPS "prefer" it, and American is the only one that doesn't list it as a requirement on their website. Do you really think you will get hired without one? Think about it, with 12K+ qualified applicants with degrees already, all fighting for 100 or so interviews a month at Delta or United, why the **** would they lower the standards or get rid of a basic discriminator like a 4-year degree?

UAL does state the degree is "preferred" but I have a bud who is itching for United and he is a year shy of his degree. Over the years he has become friends with three separate recruiters and they each have told him he has to get the degree in todays hiring environment. He has all the other qualifications, but they have such a mass of applicants with the degree. It's really all supply and demand. Once the supply level drops to no degree people then even Delta would have to drop that requirement. The problem is by the time they get to that supply level that will be a huge loss in seniority.

There is no exception. Those "flows" are part of the contractual agreement from NW merger. Delta would not hire them off the street w/o degrees. Delta will not hire anyone without a degree - for now.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but how does somebody who doesn't know you have to wear a suit to day 1 of indoc become the expert on what exceptions Delta makes and doesn't make in regard to hiring somebody without a college degree?
