Actual interview or email invite?

Earlier in the year, I was seeing ~60 days from sending the email to the desk to email invite or fix-it email. Last month, a highly-competitive guy took about 1 week. BL: make sure your app is ready to go before that email goes out.

Seems like highly competitive these days is military though. Civilians seem to be taking longer to get the email...

That likely may be the case, however, I think it's a moving target week to week and month to month, as the year to date numbers are still about 50/50 Civ vs Mil, with the latter just a few points higher....

I concur. I called about 2 hours after receiving the invite to schedule my interview and the earliest date available was 6 weeks out.

If my internal went in when I think it did, it was about 2 weeks before I received a "fix-it" email. Invite came the day after the "fix-it" email which, anecdotally at least, seems unusually fast.

I wouldn't say those numbers alone make you competitive. Their is way more to getting the invite than just your hours. Your education is one of the biggest qualifiers for a civilian guy. Not sure what your education looks like but that seems to be one of the bigger qualifiers in getting the invite.

I would agree...

4 yr degree, previous check airman, safety officer, etc....

Just being patient at this point and doing my updates....

All Flycameron is saying is there is so much more that they look at than flying hours. With the other information you added that definitely steps you up. At WIA AK stated education is very important to DAL. They look at how long did it take you to get your degree, what type of degree and its difficulty, is the college a "big name" or well known, big aspect is GPA. They want to see at least a 2.5 and prefer a 3.0 or better.

There are so many aspects that not one of us can figure this mess out. Just like you we are waiting patiently and updating frequently. Hopefully for you, and the rest of us "civ-only" guys non ssp or flow will see the emails coming in soon. All the things that made one considered competitive in the 07-08 bracket is different now days.

Anyways, my .02 worth, but it's about as good as anyone else's.

Good luck to us all.
