Can't prove it, but I have heard from several people that out of the "big three," - interview, cog, and knowledge test - the cog takes down more people than the other two combined. Most people are reasonably prepared for the interview and wind up over-studying for the ATP test. But countless people are so clueless as to the need to study and research the cog that it is kind of embarrassing. If the gouge you are using doesn't have a full section devoted to the cog test, you have the wrong gouge, or even worst, you have ****ty gouge.

Huh???Based on what experience?
Very happy to be flying the line, interviewed about 9 months ago now, but in no way was this the experience of myself or anyone else in my interview group. We all walked out of all the tests feeling...failed...do not blow off any portion of the testing, and memorize the damn cog stuff!!!

Its also interesting to me that you don't ever hear about people not being chosen because of the personality test. American and United use it as a discriminator before you even get an invite.
Anybody else ever heard anything on the results of the personality test on day one?

From feedback I've gotten from what is nearing 100 DAL interviewees, the panel is still a huge discriminator. Day 2 psych is also significant, though most I know have been reinstated by the board.
However, the cog is significant. There is good gouge out there. More importantly, you need to make sure your brain is ready. Prep through mind games, Lumosity, puzzles, etc is good, but I think even more important is good exercise, rest, nutrition, and hydration. Just like they teach in survival school - the better condition in which you show up, the better you'll do in the trial.

Not sure the cog takes down more people than the other two. All of the non-selects on my interview last year hooked the panel. I know of a few who have failed the cog, a smaller number who have failed the knowledge.
