Delta Hiring News

You don't unless you ask the right person. I met the VP and he took my resume, which is almost certain to get your app scored. I also asked Ak and he said my app had been scored. I went to 2 job fairs and they tell you that will get your app scored. So after all of that I had a few friends send a letter to HR which will get it pulled and looked at again but it would appear that once it's scored its not likely to change much unless you have some big changes on your app like checkairman, a masters degree or another type rating. I would have thought the more they looked at it the more you would score but networking has not seemed to work for me at all. Some of my friends that got an invite showed me their app and it would appear that their app was pristine when it was scored, which could have been one of the variables that helped them to get the invite.
I wish I could delete my app and start over with a fresh score since I fear that once they do the first review, that score really sticks to your app. I again am a guy on the outside looking in so I'm just telling you my experience but in no way am a part of the process.

All three of my internals were submitted 16-18 Oct 14; all three received the confirmation email from DAL's Pilot Selection team 8 Nov 14. I don't know how the black box crunches either...but I've got to believe my app has been scored. Most of my friends hired have received the interview invite around the 3-5 month mark after their internal recs were submitted. I'm not behind said 'timeline" just yet, but armed with the knowledge of how many folks DAL is interviewing/hiring, with each passing day I'm starting to think I am not in the "call this candidate for an interview" now pile.
In the meantime, my app is pristine; I update weekly; and I attend job fairs. I will be sitting out WAI in Dallas, but did have a very good chat with a DAL Capt at the NGPA a few weeks ago in PSP. He told me my resume was at "the higher end of the scale; don't worry...I'll get the call." I am hopeful that event triggered my app to be re-pulled and re-scored. I also have more internals that could be submitted. However, several of you have suggested once your app is scored...well, that's kind of your score and tier. Again, who knows?
I don't know what else I can do to earn a DAL invite. In the meantime I'll just enjoy this IPA from my roof in Seattle. Epic wx here these past few days...although it seems Boston got our ski season.

FWIW, I was told in so many words by someone close to the hiring process that your score was fluid and there are things that one can do to improve their score over time. More PIC time, internal letters of recommendation, etc.
A person's career can go a lot of places in one year, let alone how long the window has been open.
Think positive!

I too, wish I could use a mulligan for the aforementioned reasons. I fear my app was scored before I had my ATP practical, and more importantly, before it was "pristine." Hindsight...

I apologize if this has been covered already, but what seems to be the average time frame for an interview invite from the time someone submits an internal rec. through Deltanet ? I've seen some posts claiming 2 weeks, 30, 60 days all the way up to 5+ months. Just trying to figure out the average for majority of apps ? Thank you !

The two in my interview group did not wear ties. One had a suit the other a skirt and jacket.
