I'm a current regional guy in the left seat. Approximately 1200 turbine pic and 5800 total. What is going to serve me better getting the invite at DAL? Getting some time in the right seat of a say a 737/320 or more pic time in a crj? I am at least 1 year from getting a check airmen spot. I have my degree with a 3.0 and took me more than 5 years. I have volunteer work, bilingual, recruitier, 6 internal recs and 2 going on 3 job fairs.

Gentlemen (and Ladies),
Just a question regarding what happens when a current or former pilot submits an email to HR... If the application has already been screened and scored (not because of an HR email, but because it was randomly selected), will the HR email STILL trigger another review? If the app was already placed into a tier, does it have a fresh chance to be re-tiered?
I am asking because my application wasn't that great, but I have recently gone over it with a fine toothed comb in anticipation of an HR email being sent out this week. Wondering what the chances of the app already having been scored are, or if the HR email will improve my chances.

Overall moral to the story, therefore, is to make sure your app is absolutely suitcased prior to having a Delta friend fire the email to Pilot Selection! Especially since it also states on Deltanet that you're limited to firing off the email trigger once per year per candidate.

You don't unless you ask the right person. I met the VP and he took my resume, which is almost certain to get your app scored. I also asked Ak and he said my app had been scored. I went to 2 job fairs and they tell you that will get your app scored. So after all of that I had a few friends send a letter to HR which will get it pulled and looked at again but it would appear that once it's scored its not likely to change much unless you have some big changes on your app like checkairman, a masters degree or another type rating. I would have thought the more they looked at it the more you would score but networking has not seemed to work for me at all. Some of my friends that got an invite showed me their app and it would appear that their app was pristine when it was scored, which could have been one of the variables that helped them to get the invite.
I wish I could delete my app and start over with a fresh score since I fear that once they do the first review, that score really sticks to your app. I again am a guy on the outside looking in so I'm just telling you my experience but in no way am a part of the process.
