Delta Hiring News
#7031
Hey guys, I am curious if any of you out there have been hired or interviewed at Delta that are non military or non 121. I am currently part 91 and previous part 135, flying International PIC in Gulfstreams with around 5700 hours (2600 Jet PIC). It would be nice to know if others with similar quals have had a shot as I have a few internal recommendations which should generate the scoring of my app.
Don't give up.

Also, of the Civilians only how many were non 121, if you have that data?

Crickets...... I guess my experience and others like me carries very little weight. That's unfortunate as 91/135 flying requires a vast range of responsibilities and we get little to no help in our flight operations. My fear is that those in control of who gets an interview are not aware of this.
I'm right there with you Liberty Pilot, currently flying extensive international on G550's and keeping my fingers crossed for Delta or AA.
My airline buddies just laugh and shake their heads at some of the stuff we get asked to do and the trips we pull off. Different worlds for sure, but I feel like I'd be a great fit for the airlines. I can get along with anyone and I'm a damn good time on the road too.
I'm updating and networking to the best of my abilities, hopefully there's room for me in the mix somewhere.
Keep thinking positive and good luck my friend!

As a side note, I did Emerald Coast for interview prep, and thought they were outstanding as well. Aerocrew offers the same service and I have heard great things about their interview prep as well.

I can't make that one, I'm already scheduled out on a trip, but I'm going to try for the OBAP convention in DC come August.
My hat is in the ring for United as well, just given where I live AA would be in-base and Delta wouldn't be a hard commute if I could get NYC, which from all I've read is the least desirable base anyway. I also don't know anyone at United and from what I've been told LOR's from employees are a big deal.
Truth be told, I'd go to anyone that called and deal with the logistics later. My wife's job is fairly portable and the topic of relocation comes up every now and then, so it's not off the table. My kids are still young enough to where we wouldn't be uprooting their entire lives and friendships if we decided to move.
