FYI. I know it's been kinda mentioned/rumored in the last few pages but the schoolhouse has the official go ahead for 115/month through at least April and their feeling is that it will be approved indefinitely.

I am reviewing my app on airline apps. When I was 16 I had my driver license suspended for speeding. I listed this both under the infraction section and then again under criminal where it asks if your driver license was ever suspended. My question is when you review your app then, this gets spit out under the criminal section even though this is in no way a criminal offense. Simple driving infraction resulting in short suspension. Has anyone else run into this? I feel that checking no to suspension is wrong because it would be lying, but also it's got to look bad because it shows under criminal. Any insight would help. Thanks!

My license was suspended when I was 17. It was supended because I had 2 wreckless driving in less than 12 months. I checked the "criminal" box where it asked if my license was "ever suspended". I did not included on my infractions list. I did include my speeding and wreckless tickets on the infractions.
I asked that same questions you just asked during my panel interview. They told me I filled out correctly. If you already checked "ever suspended" you do not need to include in your infractions, but if was suspended you MUST checked the box and not simply list on your infractions list.
I was grilled on my driving record. 4speeding, 2 wreckless, 2 other tickets and a suspended license.
What I had going for me is that all those tickets were when I was between 16-18 years of age. I havent had a single ticket in 15 years. (I had a bullet bike in high school ).
By checking the "criminal" box you will not be disqualified. Just be honest in your app. Let them decide who they are going to call or not. You dont want to get the invite and then change your story. It will be too late and they will not trust you. Honesty is a big deal, specially at Delta.
Good luck. Keep your head up and be honest.
I was hired 2 months ago.

Olario,
Did you come from Compass or the SSP. Not to pick on you but I find it hard to believe with so many applications that don't have a suspended license in the history that you would get a call so early in the hiring wave.

License suspended for 6 months when I was 17 for speeding. I was honest and have had a clean record since then. My story got some good laughs from the panel. Hired March of this year off the street.

Sept hire...Non-flow or SSP here. Suspended license when I was 16, two speeding tickets within the last 4 years, <3.0 GPA, no masters, not an IP (mil), right at 2,000 TT. There is hope for even us "normal" people.

100% right. Everyone has a skeleton or two in the closet. If you can excel in other areas (GPA, masters, Leadership positions, flight training, blah blah blah), the skeletons will be over looked. I am proof.

How did you pull an interview with 2,000 TT? Multiple high up internal recs? Serious question...I wanna know your secret.
