I know my buddy just went through class and 20 were military and 20 were SSP/flow so only 10 were OTS and of the 10 OTS 3 were women. So if my math is correct, that means 7 left OTS or 14% of the class. Not looking good for us that aren't military or SSP for now.
Anyone get the email for an interview this week? I heard a bunch went out this week. The pace for OTS pilots will pick up substantially when the 160 at compass have been hired. Does anyone know where they are at in the compass flows? I'm guessing 80 of the 160 have already been hired but that's simply a guess.

There are two regional FOs in my class with no PIC but they both won a previous Delta scholarship and knew all the right people. I didn't have tpic when I got the invite (I was in upgrade) but had it when I interviewed (about 100) I am mil and civilian

There have been males and females interviewed recently without TPIC time. There are no ratios for interviews each day.

no actual medical exam anymore, unless youre referring to the MMPI and psych interview which is still happening. Also drug test but you accomplish that on your own either on day 2 or when you get home.
Its great to see people hired without TPIC. The breadth of experience is a good thing for all. In my class of 50 we had pretty much every background you could think of. They brought up a good point that those of us that were captains were probably captains for years, and transitioning to FO again is going to be an adjustment that some may find more challenging than they thought. I would venture to say those in my class who didn't have TPIC will adapt faster and perform well. Bottom line is everyone worked hard to be where theyre at, nothing was handed to anyone. And that includes the compass flows who had a very very difficult Northwest style interview flying a 727 sim among other things and went on to become experienced captains in the Delta system prior to coming over and bringing a wealth of experience with them, and essentially becoming leaders in our indoc class guiding the rest of us. Truly a great group all around and my respect for them grows by the day. After having met those in my class, from military to regional to flow to non-PIC to corporate to LCC and even a couple of us "freight dogs", all phenomenal people that deserve to be there.

There will always be some that get in without TPIC time. Its just a reality of the business for several reasons. Always. No matter what.

Question for folks who got the "fix it" email...did you respond to the email to tell them you fixed it and thanking them for the opportunity? Wasn't sure if a response actually went to someone or if it was an automated type email. Thanks for any input you may have.

I fixed, replied, and thanked within 24 hours and I never heard back on that particular email; but, I did get an email invite to interview about 6 months later. A friend of mine got the fix-it, didn't do anything since he'd already been hired elsewhere, and got an email invite to interview 3 days later. Sorry this doesn't answer your question but it kind of shows both ends of the spectrum.

Mike is right, it varies. I replied to my fix it email with a formally formatted email. I thanked them, provided a quick couple lines saying I made the appropriate corrections, and follow up contact info. My other buddies who did this also got hired. The emails are directly routed to the head of pilot selection, and I think that he does actually read them. Don't be discouraged if its a lot of fixing. My application went from 4 pages to 15 pages after my fix it email because I hadn't broken down all of my military experience by base, deployment, assignment, schools, etc. It was just one big block haha oops.
