Delta Hiring News
#4251
I only provided 10 years of work history, and Delta wanted it back to high school. That said, a friend of mine was already in training at SWA when Delta sent him his fix-it email. He deleted the email and made no changes, and 3 days later got an offer to interview.

5 months after my fix-it email I finally got the one I wanted. I was unable to take the 13 August interview I was offered and scheduled for 18 August. Hope that doesn't buy me a furlough some day . I am beyond excited to get my 1st call from my top choice, and I'm glad I've got lots of time to prep. Man do I hope I don't eff this away. 03XX last 4, so if I don't screw up the interview at least I won't have to make any decisions on domicile/airframe since I'll get what I get .
TT-4970, TPIC-3650, IP-2380... Feb14 app submitted, Mar14 fix it email..... 5 LORs, no FAA issues, no family or friend with DAL, 3 old speeding tickets , 3.11 Engineering, retiring MIL Dec14, avail Jul14.

MikeF16 congrats man, but I hope you're joking about your seniority. With a 0XXX SSN, you'll be on the bottom of the class list, I'll be pretty low on the list as well as Arnie Kraby's assistant spelled it out for us in the waiting room.
I interviewed a week ago. 6 out of 8 got the CJO. The day before us 4 out of 8 got it. The break-down was 3 regionals (Expressjet, Envoy and Shuttle America), 1 Virgin America, 1 corporate and 3 military. Nobody asked how many hours everyone had, but they seemed on par with one another. 2 out of the 3 military guys were in their 40's and retiring from military.
I've had my app in since 2011, never got a fix it or any other email till the invitation for the interview. Was offered an interview date a week from phone call or 6 weeks.... I obviously chose the 6 week option. Studied like hell and felt very prepared (not confident) for all the exams. I have 7700 Total, 4500 Turbojet, 3100 PIC, 3.8 GPA, 2 LORs on file but no internals, only one stop sign violation on record (half the people I interviewed with had many on their record... this isn't a big deal as long as we're not talking 8-12+)

Exactly, no decision to make. If I'm lucky enough to get hired I'll get what I get without stressing over the decision .

M16 CONGRATS!...... Haven't seen the numbers on this thread for folks noting their interview calls. If I missed it would you post your dates and numbers for those of us just sitting around waiting and watching ... Thanks and good luck.

I would think a 3.1 Engineering would be adjusted to at least a 3.8 in most other majors..??

I am requaling on the 7ER right now and the word from the new hires is that they are interviewing top 5% of the applicants. The system scores your application and the addendum section has some weight to it. So, the moral of the story is, fill in all the blanks and put as much info about yourself in the addendum as you can. That may push the application over the magic point.
Good luck to everyone and it is SOOOOO nice to see new hires on the property.
1000 more new hires next year.
