I know Delta is still interviewing, just not in April. I'm guessing they may be pausing the invites as there is quite a backup of interviews right now. I had a friend get the invite a couple weeks ago and was offered a July interview. They will be back at in May. Good luck!

The civilian pilots getting hired now are well qualified. Their entire application is impressive.
I have seen Chief Pilots, Asst Chief Pilots, DPE, LCA and project managers. Most have at least a 3.0 GPA, some have a Master's Degree. They are involved at work and in the community. They all have a great attitude on life.
There have been a few who do not have any TPIC but are well connected. Parents may have worked for Delta. They also have impressive applications but the only thing they lack is TPIC.
Everybody will get a chance to interview at some point. The key is to remain positive and not give up hope. There are so many qualified pilots and so few positions each year. Today is April 1st. Everybody should be updating their application every 1st of the month. Always think about what you can do to improve yourself at work and at home.

If you don't have TPIC think about what you can do to replace this "Captain" time. How can you show your leadership ability to the recruiters?
Many of my clients were leaders in the community. Most pilots had a leadership position at their company. Their GPA was on average a 3.5. Some had a Master's Degree. Some were flying overseas. Most were planning for this opportunity to interview for months. I cannot stress enough about networking. Try to meet as many people as you can in this industry because you never know where your next job lead will come from.
The most important thing is to have a great attitude and never give up. Stay positive because you will have moments of doubt. Keep thinking what can I do to improve myself professionally and personally.
