Exactly. So if the R's were all Mitt Romney's they would be swept into power. BTW Reagan, Bush and the other Bush were very anti-gun. 43 was chomping at the bit to sign a massive "assault" ban he just never got one across his desk. Thankfully he appointed two crucial SCOTUS justices that stopped the progressive's revisionist sophistry trying to re-interpret the 2nd as the founders sitting around worrying that one day the government wouldn't be allowed to lord guns over an unarmed populace and all they can have are the bare minimum needed for sports and recreation.

Conversely, if the D's dropped the "confiscate confiscate confiscate" fantasy (registration is step one in all cases anyway) they would win more elections. Or lose less anyway.

What invisibile 3D guns? Oh you mean the fake crisis we're told is upon us? You do know the recent issue WRT renewing the undetectable ban was all about a procedural trick, intentionally held up until the last possible day for the purpose of creating a self induced crisis, attepted by Schumer for a quick 1 year renewal putting his lame duck party friends in a likely off year second term losing shift in a position to unilaterally rewrite it to include pretty much anything plastic on any gun they wanted to? The repubs didn't let that happen and insisted on a 10 year renewal (thus preserving the very ban you are in favor of literally 10 times longer than one of the most left wing democrats in the Senate wanted) with existing albeit still potentially abusive language. Yeah, you knew that. Of course you did.

So far I've only heard this as speculation, with the approved number at only 300. Anybody have any different news?

My source has told me that the 600 number is rumor only. RA has not approved this and the official number is still 300. However, they are gearing up in anticipation of 600 being approved sometime....

JG put out 600 a year for the next ten years at the October LCA meeting. That is about as official as it has gotten so far.
