Let me correct my above statement. I did prep one of the guys that interviewed today.
He just called me about his experience. 5 Endeavor guys (SSP), 1 AF fighter pilot, 1 ExpressJet and 1 SkyWest. Everybody passed except 3 Endeavor guys.

I have no idea of the total number of pilots hired. My guess is around 70 percent so far. 8 pilots per day x 4 days of interviews = 32 pilots per week interviewed. 32 pilots x 3 weeks of interviews = 96 total pilots. 96 pilots x .7 = 67 pilots hired so far.
Rough guess based on what I have seen but in no way accurate.

One of my best friends is an Atlas 400 CAPT. He likes the job but says every pilot is pretty much on reserve. He claims all the lines are always changed and lineholders really have no idea where they will be flying.
Sounds kind of exciting, but is it true or is he exaggerating?

Sometimes true...sometimes not. Atlas is a great group of folks and everyone treats each other really well. Sometimes your line/pattern sticks...sometimes it doesn't. You learn to accept it. It comes down to this - do you like being away for two weeks at a time. Some folks love it because they get 15 days off at home. Those with (young) families there tend not to like those longer lines.

The guys I know in the SSP are doing at least some type of interview prep course... Definitely not a "we are already in" attitude. Then again the most infamous pinnacle Le Douche -AR, has not interviewed yet (80 knots I'm sure is licking his chops for this fat boy )
