"What did you think that rocking chair was for?"
I know Dr. Janus passed away a long time ago, but are interviewees still going to have to take that MNPS test and talk to a shrink during the process?
Q. Do you still beat your wife?
1. Yes
2. Not any more
How do you answer that one?? 1 or 2?

It is a lot more than 45 minutes. Figure it starts with your history and employment records (PRIA and whatever else they might have coming from a wholly owned ... payroll records include sick leave), discussions with your Chief Pilot, who recommended the candidate and what was written. Then there is a cog test (which freaked out a candidate who hit the screen when I was there) a panel interview, an extensive personality survey and after all of that an hour or more with a psychiatrist.

I really hope this isn't true. The reason people put in the work, spend the time, and the money to earn a degree is precisely because companies like Delta require it. For that requirement to apply to all but a small group of pilots is well, just not fair. Getting TPIC is something that is largely out of one's control, especially at an airline, but not getting a degree is a conscious choice.
If Delta drops the 4-year degree requirement I'll be one step closer to thinking higher education is a total scam. I already think it's a little scam.

Captain Kirk frequently donates blood, it is never his own.
Captain Kirk was given his fighting skills in a deal with the devil. As soon as the deal was done, Captain Kirk kicked the devil's butt. Since the devil completely appreciates irony, he and Captain Kirk play poker together each Wednesday.
If you want to know which species Captain Kirk doesn't like, just check the list of species which have recently gone extinct.

Let's face it the 9E guys are getting the interview because they agreed to massive concessions. Individuals qualifications have no bearing. 9E guys are no worse nor better than any other regional group out there, they just happened to be in a position to make a deal that benefitted them.

Just proves that any a-hole can put on the "45 minute show".
Sadly, some of them STILL b1chted about it. Must have been rough to get furloughed, go BACK to a better schedule than that of a legacy new hire, at the SAME pay rate, never mind STILL having a job with health insurance whilst many of your peers were on the street with NONE of that at other places.
I'd say that FTA worked out pretty good for them.

Arrogant pilots will usually screw up that question.

I saw Captain Kirk roundhouse kick a fusion reactor and restore warp drive. Chuck Norris is getting a little soft in comparison.
