I wasn't a fan of emerald coast. The videos were good but the one on one interviewers weren't that good.

I used them in-person and it was good. I don't really know what truly differentiates one company from another. They all have the same gouge and are going to prep you in pretty much the same way. The biggest caveat to any interview prep company is to not get too locked in on canned/memorized responses. The interview team can tell right away whether you are reciting lines you've been working on for weeks or if you are coming off naturally in conversation. The prep companies definitely give you lots of good tips how to frame your answers, plus how to sit and act in the interview in general. Just don't fall into the trap of working out line-by-line how you'd answer any particular question you expect to be asked.

First do the program that everyone does for Delta. Next, if you are weak in actual interviewing skills I wouldn't count on one meeting with Aerocrew to prepare you. Look for a place that is willing to work with you multiple times and really take the time to hone your skills and build up your confidence. Emerald Coast also only does one meeting with you one on one, that might be enough for some people and it helps to learn from watching other people in their group meetings. But, again, if you feel like your interview skills are lacking then go to a place that meets with you multiple times one on one. It will help tremendously with your skills and confidence. There is a pilot at American that will do multiple calls with you and get you thinking about your answers, Jeff I think is his name, do a search. The place that does a lot of United prep in Denver does a great job in the actual interview prep. Despite working mainly with United people they still have people that specialize in Delta-centric interviews.

I 100% agree with this sentiment! I was criticized by some of my peers for attending WIA, OBAP conferences, spending money on application reviews, Emerald Coast interview prep before I had actual interviews. When I finally got my shot I surely wasn’t going to worry about spending another $300 for RST. Do whatever it takes, it’s an investment in your future. Persistence paid off, after years of active prep and searching, I was lucky enough to have class dates at both Delta and Fedex.
It’s about the individual and how they stay sharp to feel confident. I had a long drought after 9/11 and even went to Texas and bought a 737 type but didn’t get SWA. I don’t regret it. That’s what I thought I had to do to be competitive back then. It was paid off a long time ago and I think it helped because I eventually went to AirTran. They thought it was good because they were just ramping up their 737. While in the crash pad in ATL I got the call from Delta. I think I got hired to poach from AirTran over any superior story or airmanship, but I was ready. In my career 6 interviews and 3 job offers. I hope this is my forever home but if something ever required me to get another job, I’d probably over prepare.
