Journey works great on the iphone with icrew and all but has anyone used it on travelnet? I can't open up the standby list using either firefox or ie8 via journey.

Default This just in....

I got this from a friend, who's uncle works for this guy, who's wife heard it in the ladies room.

DAL is going to be the launch customer for the C-Series Jet!

Well nobody else through it out, and it was the only other possibility on the upcomming "major annoucnement".

Just for the record, I completely made this up. Don't go buying any Canadian stocks, this is completely fictional.

Bummer.

Are the mixed messages along the lines of Opus' earlier post retracting the good news altogether or something to a lesser degree?

Well Go to DAL net and read the Weekly Update. It states what I have been stating for a few weeks. No furloughs now. Displacements of the 767. I do not want to post an internal memo so go read it for yourselves!

I have also heard that we may be grossly overstaffed post SOC. We will be able to do a lot of training.

Remember that scene from Back to the Future where Doc is running around the clock tower waiting for Marty and he just keeps saying "Damn".... "Damn Damn"... and so on.

Well Damn Damn.

According to the code a phone, my impression is that Steve Dickson was asked to furlough or consider it and he is standing in the line of fire and making the decision to not furlough despite being overstaffed now and worse off after the capacity cuts.

Now, ACL, out of curiosity does that mean SD has his neck on the line if he doesn't furlough and other departments come blaming him for losses? Looks to me like he's got the support of Richard and Ed not to involuntarily furlough but at some point if this keeps up I think they're hands are tied unless someone else suddenly falls and is allowed to fall.

This memo isn't news really to anyone paying attention. Basically SD is saying they want to increase the A320, M88 and DC9 flying and thus imho ON BOTH SIDES of the aisle I think we're seeing the merger actually prevent furloughs as the coming changes are giving someone like SD the ability to hold on to pilots as we right size, resize, rearrange and thus retrain.

Steve states that the 767 will probably be displaced again just like ACL said and looks like the August AE as he stated in the crewroom a month or so ago is on track. Glad this is being stated before the PIRP window closes as I knew of one 767A in particular who said he'd quit before he got displaced and I think if he hasn't been displaced he will be.

Guys go hoist a couple of cold ones or your favorite adult beverage and enjoy your life. We can't change a darn thing. Yes, I might have had one or two small bourbons thereby making life much more pleasant!

This is what has been being stated for quite some time. Fact is that this is the first time that it has been written and published for the pilots to see.
(See I am not completely full of it )

Also, I do not see SD sticking his neck out. What I see he and RA are in agreement not to furlough even though we are overstaffed. If RA wanted it, SD would try to avoid it, but the boss is the boss. Not doing what the boss wants leads to a short tenure. Especially when it involves 10's of millions of dollars.

I also think that this was very carefully worded and there is other information starting to float to the surface that by the end of 2010 we would be in position to furlough if needed.
