Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
APC Hand Signals Ettiquite Proposal
Challenge: Two hands presented in the double cup position.
CA Response: Two hands in the double cup position
FO Response: One hand in the single cup position
FA Response: Both arms straight down by sides, hands cupped inward to "cup" the "objects" after years of gravity.
GA Response: Double Cup response followed by placing straight palms 1-2 inches apart, meaning I fly, but a small plane (may also work for RJ guys)
I'll give these signals a shot on my CAE-ATL-MCO flights today and Friday return If there is no report by Friday, the signals were interpreted to be sexist and I'm in jail.
Any improvements/further classifications welcome.

It is sad, and so much of it has to do with ALPA having changed its view on the airline pilot profession. Mr. Prater and now Mr. Moak see themselves as executives, board members and politicians. As such, they grow to feel that they are far above us. Some folks like alfaromeo actually have disdain for us. In his case (and slowplay), they've both been counseled about not being such condescending d!cks to the pilots...but as alfaromeo just showed yet again, he can't do it. It comes from being high up in the MEC bureaucracy where you're not elected and unaccountable to the reps or to the pilots. All you have to do is a$$ kiss the MEC chairman, and your job is secure.
Because of this global change in attitude by ALPA higher ups, they see ALPA as more of a world power rather than a local organization to help local pilot issues. We have ALPA executives fully committed to their own advancement in business and politics, which is why so much of what they do runs in direct contravention to what we tell them we want.
The good news is that I believe ALPA really is a dying organization. Non-ALPA represented pilots are at the top of the pay heap in the cargo world and the passenger world. The best work rules reside at non-ALPA represented airlines. The best scope sections also reside at non-ALPA airlines. As more and more airlines remove ALPA from the property, our profession has a real chance to regain the respect our responsibilities should command.

Let's not forget that Moak had a chance to recapture some of this 76 seat flying at the LOCAL level during his tenure as the DALPA MEC and was the deciding vote against a staple of the CPZ pilots to the bottom of the list.
How can you be as productive on a 777 as you can as a SWA pilot in a 737 with 5 legs a day? Delta chose which planes would be used on certain routes, and 737s all the way to Asia just can't do it. 777s have first class cabins and can pull in huge amounts of revenue from cargo uplifted on those longer routes. Southwest just can't do that. You just can't compare SWA pilots to Delta pilots, the operations are different. Just stop that nonsense.
We are in deep trouble.
It is painful to read a post like that from a guy like Pineapple. And to log on here and see the connected guys like alfaromeo and slowplay begin their defense of this latest concessionary round of bargaining is just devastating.
This TA is gonna be ugly and its gonna pass and there's nothing we can do to stop it.
Management, the bankruptcy courts and the NMB have done their jobs efficiently and effectively.
The "reset" of the airline piloting profession over the last 10 years has been successful.
Despite our hopes, there will be no "restoration". Our union has already conceded the fight.

That's what happens when you have an MEC who's only experience is concessionary bargaining.
They were told they saved the company, by the company. They believed it ... they learned to enjoy and believe they were important to corporate management.
They have taken ownership for fixing all the company's problems.
It is a tragedy.
