Phantom/Buzz/George,

Thanks for the info and advice. I've decided to buy a refurbished iPad, and never pay full price for an Apple product again. After all, we are pilots right? (i.e. If you're paying full price, or any price at all, you're wrong!)

I completely agree Elvis. Unfortunately, they've become yet another bloated government bureaucracy that probably is immune from extinction.
<<<<>+1>>>>>. Maybe enough Congressmen have been molested by TSA that it'll get some support. Reference Rep. John Mica (R-FL).

+1, I'm 100% in favor of abolishing the TSA. Complete knee-jerk waste of funds and time. I would go so far as to say that the mere existence of TSA in some regard makes the 9/11 bin laden attack successful in all the ways terrorism is meant to succeed.

Please tell me we aren't going to sell this cheap gas to AF and KLM. THEIR pilots flying THEIR planes full of OUR pax and OUR cheap gas...doesn't get much worse than that.

Any truth to the rumor that refurbished pilots are being offered to the airlines at half price? Supposed to be just like new!

Does kinda make you wonder though, Why hasn't a company like UPS thought of this? They surely use a bit more fuel than Delta*.

Or

Why didn't Conoco Phillips start an airline?

But of course, this will work. Trust them.

Yea, no kidding. They could use the loss for tax purposes.

Actually Delta is the single largest non-government user of fuel in the world.
I welcome any effort to bring any production in-house, in particular flying!

"if we can make our own gas we ought to have Delta pilots burn it!"
