Apparently the 787 taxied under its own power today and looks like it even did an RTO. The overhead video made it look like a model.

I'd recommend taking a break from the 'most interesting man in the world' and sober up. Although he's interesting, you're coming across like a clown.

I've thought about MEM from LAX. I'm curious to see howthe LAX base will change over the next couple of years. Many new Delta guys will move into this base and I don't think we're more than two years away from seeing a 777 base to take advantage of PAC rim.

My 2 cents

I saw that. It is good that it is finally moving under its own power.

If it rewards me with a lower % on my equipment or one paying higher rates I would consider the commute to one of those bases.
I was talking to one of my new hire classmates who is planning on moving to MSP. He has lived in ATL > 20 yrs.

I think it may be worth looking at. There are going to be a lot of people that will have a better QOL if they got out of ATL for a few years. IMHO it is going to go quite senior.

DAL might as well convert the 787 orders over to 797 orders, at the engineering rate of the 787 we're more likely to see the 797 flying first.

Is it too late for MD to still go back into the civilian sector, I'd love to see what a MD99 would look like.

ACL,

You mentioned that MSP will maintain a large presence. Any inside rumblings as to what aircraft will be based there, other than the -88 and RJ's?

That would be me! My wife gave the green light to move up north (she's from Athens, GA) to Wisconsin. MSP for me. Wish the company would pay for my move though. I just put a green (UGA style) G on the back of her Suburban. Works for both of us!
