Not cynical, a realist.

Bread and butter is the main diet for some...

Their plan was three more cities in the US this year.

Not sure we will see cabotage but so far their demand is outpacing their growth. One hit to them was airbus did not give them the mtow increase on the 380 they were damanding. That will keep the 380 off of the western US cities.

Guys, we have to fix our PCS system. I tried to swap trips in May for the very same day and was denied for "Capped for reserves." I wanted to fly a longer trip which should, in theory, benefit scheduling and guys on reserve. Doesn't make any sense.

I thought it would always let you swap, if it's over the exact same days (plus a day or two, if you are going to a longer trip)

UNLESS it's a spill-out type trip, into June?

No, same day out and one day longer. Odd.

Yeah, I will....and the reserves required and available are the same for the out day. Should be a no brainer.

I have no evidence to support this, and to a large degree, respect the more "militant" background of FNW pilots, but I think demographics within the pilot group are what will drive the vote...mostly.

Now I know that doesn't sound too committal, but how do you state it better.

There are a lot of moving parts...folks with frozen pension, the tiers of PC's from the pbgc, the stagnated narrow body Capt, the stagnated older FO, the older junior FO, the young former RJ pilot- now RJ is a disease - pilot, and a hundred other flavors.

We have had to adapt to lower pay for a long time. Some have cultivated other careers/jobs, some sold their toys and sucked it up, etc.

My only advice is: don't just look at section 3 payrates. Sure, look at it, but be a scope hawk, look at the work rules etc. Whatever TA is released to the pilots will be salespitched by DALPA...BE YOUR OWN EXPERT.
