If I was MD on this last AE, the only way I can be reinstated is if there is a posted vacancy for my old position and it's within 180 days of my conversion date. When does the conversion date start? If I lose reinstatement rights I can still fill out a VD and try to get it back that way, right? I'm not seat locked.

Thanks,

BFS
The conversion date is the first day of the month in your MD'd equipment. (Or the date MMC appears on iCrew if you're a mid-month conversion). You are correct about the reinstatement, however if the posted vacancies are filled by displacements senior to you, you're out of luck. So as people keep getting jettisoned from the top to fund the bottom "YMMV".

All else is correct as well. No seat lock and you keep your vacation. Until you VD or AE back. Then you lose your vacation :facepalm:

Time will tell. I do agree that there will be pieces left. I would be floored it all of DFW is sold though.

My guess. They talked about this yesterday. I don't really want to see another merger. One is plenty for a career.

Guess it is Hawaiian or Alaska if this LCC/AMR thing happens.
Not sure we do either. Culture is important and a merger like that will throw us back in to that soup.

Actually it is. My kids got treated to nasty fast food after soccer practice. Their choice not mine.

well you get the picture.

Only a Burmese python USair could swallow a whole AA. IMO, USair is more like a baby robin trying to get fed by its mama. It'll try to eat anything. We have good history with that baby robin though. We can help them out of MIA, DFW, and maybe even some DCA slots...for a hmmm lets say Boston Terminal?
Python = UsAir
Alligator = AMR

^^^ that train wreck is a python exploding while eating an alligator.

ftb is all about protecting burmese pythons, capturing them safely, and the loading their tails into a wood chipper and watching it go.

Yes, a MCO 757 base, AND a MIA 777 Base! You can hunt those Pythons while sitting reserve...in Homestead!
