FWIW it is bigger than just a shuttle operation would be.
OK, now I'm really confused, bigger than a shuttle but smaller than a whole airline? Sounds like an assets/operations (people, including pilots) purchase. In piecing together all the clues about the big "good news" announcement on the 15th, at first the hints seemed to indicate an asset sale from a distressed carrier like UAL/India, for maybe 777s. But it wouldn't be enticing to the pirps, theoretically. So an order for smaller aircraft such as the (way too) long-rumored MD90s...but those would most likely replace M88s on a close to 1:1 ratio..not really such a good deal, more status quo....Now is SEA getting "big" related? hmmm.....so here are my guesses...

1. Multi-777 buy from someone. (but "nothing being sold. Not exactly" sort of shoots that one down..unless we purchase routes/airplanes/pilots/"operations" from UAL..."sort of" -like a merger, but if it was for the orient or s. America might face anti-trust issues)

2. MD90 purchase but used for growth (where would growth be coming from?)

3. Merger with Alaska or the "SEA" part of AK...(don't know if that is possible, practical, reasonable)

4. A possible large order for 76-100 seat aircraft that the company will concede will be flown by DAL seniority list pilots...thus DAL will take a stab at reigning in all the disparate and troublesome RJ-type flying that dilutes the brand name....possibly in conjunction with absorbing a wholey owned (like compass) over to our list (as a staple) and thus create a net increase in flying at the bottom of the list. This would also mitigate the pain of the eventual DC9 attrition.

So there you have it.... which one is closest? ACL? or, who else seemed to know?..was it OPUS? Give me a hint or a PM..

Dow will be lucky to be where it is now!

If I had those numbers I would not be working for DAL. BTW do not forget to get those Mega Millions tickets tonight! 133 million goes along way towards my retirement fund!

Now that would be nice, but the pilots would come with them!

Only to give them to Midwest.

Here is my best guess... Republic is buying us on the 15th.

Can't tell you and I would not tell you if you were correct. It would violate a lot of laws and effect stock price. Period. Next subject.

BTW all of the above may happen but are wrong in effect.
