I am loving the talking heads being all puckered about DAL's alleged interest into the refinery. The energy psychologist's take that Delta is "stupid".. But here is an article that seems a little more balanced. It acknowledges the cutting edge concept while also acknowledging the risk.

I wondered the same thing. The mod who closed it wouldn't give a reason for shutting it down. I think the media is catching wind of this, no pun intended, because I saw a preview on cable this morning that talked about "showboating" pilots being a factor. The media will eat this one up if they get a hold of it.

I'm sure we're going to be told were stupid by the people who aren't going to make as much as normal from this move. If you're playing a zero sum game, the other guy doesn't want the game modified, I would think.

Off the swap board, no, but you can request an 'out of base white slip' if the same trip is in your 'open time' ie. the open time that crew scheduling assigns daily, but you are at the Bottom of the pecking order for that trip. Everyone in base gets a shot at it before an out of base white slip.
