How about you worry about the ALPA board and let the APC mods worry about this board. DPA can be legally stated here! It is related to the latest and greatest at Delta, along with underboob etc..If RJs continue to proliferate off campus, you will be hearing and seeing alot more of DPA.
When you're getting semi-professional salesmen crashing your party, are you supposed to stop the party, or ask them to visit again during office hours?
The other thread is office hours.

Says the junior salesman. Even a cursory review of your 107 posts show you've made up your mind, and you're here to sell. I think the question for the mods is this: does the thread serve most everyone talking about all things L&G, or does it get hijacked by some with a specific agenda? this thread is essentially a big conversation, it's been a meeting place for many of us, for a fairly long time. Unfortunately, some new people are here to agressively sell a product, Bacon and DAWGS being perfect examples. That's cool. Just be honest about it, and do it in the appropriate place.

Trying to smear someone who doesn't share your views is professional? BTW, been around since 07 on this board with only 170 posts. I'm not selling anything. Most of my posts occur when I can no longer bite my fingers. You on the other hand have only been here since Jun 09. You have 1761 posts. It seems you are the junior one around here and very clearly here for a purpose, which imo, is to manage expectations for ALPA. I certainly have had my doubts about ALPA. I have been willing as of late to get behind them, however I must admit being smeared by an insider, continues to add to my distrust of the very people who are supposed to represent me.
To call you a salesman is not to smear: that is the essence of your posts. It's the opposite of what I do: I adress the DPA stuff only when it's put in my face constantly on the L&G, and you're busy making sure it's on the L&G.
I don't pray at ALPA's temple, and I'm not a choir boy. I'd argue that I object to getting old ALPA insiders repackaged in DPA, and I object to the constant attacks on our union, especially now. I do nothing with your expectations, I only express my opinion. You may argue that I'm defending ALPA, but you can't possibly back up your claim that I'm an "insider". Speaking of smearing.

OK, I've expressed my opinion: I think it would be nice if the mods would cut and paste this to the other thread. I'm going to stop by Ferd's for one last one for the road, and call it a day, go play with the kids. Later. Enjoy your Sunday.

Interesting you should have this complaint since you're the spammer. Here's just some of your recent posts that responded to my stuff where NO mention of an alternate union was stated:
It's quite clear to me that some of the usual ALPA suspects (you included) are screaming DPA when nobody is discussing it but you. Apparently you think you can get mods to remove posts that you don't like by screeching about how sick you are of DPA stuff when YOU are the main one mentioning it. I wonder if this tactic will work for you.
Carl
I think it's a power struggle. It's people that want to be in charge, running on an easy populist platform, trying to surf on a natural wave of anger that's felt both sides of the show line. It's packaged as the anti-ALPA, but my sense is that it's actually re-hashed ALPA, but probably less effective. It's not really a NvS in the sense that each group leans a different way, and maybe I shouldn't say a RvG thing as much as a type of politics that seems to have come with the merger, as evidenced by the tendency to interfere with other councils.
Prior to this, we had differences of opinions on how things should be done, and we had opinions about the individuals representing us dircetly, but we didn't have entire slates of people working together to undo another group.
Carl will of course accuse me of loving ALPA, but all I care about is results and policies, and I am deeply, deeply suspicious of whatever is going on. I think it's about moving people around, and it reeks.
But again, there is another thread for this.

Counter-fact:There has been a coordinated, concerted effort for months, basically since it became obvious the RedvGreen crap wasn't getting traction here, to sell us the Detroit Pilot Association.
...and I'd have a open discussion about that with you, except you're just an obvious DPA salesman, and why waste time with a salesman?
...and move it over to the DPA thread.

Take a look at this line from the MEC update: "scope...likely will be on the bargaining table..."
I took out a few distracting words like "we all know" and "in every Section 6 negotiation". That last one is flat out false. SWAPA has never put Scope on the bargaining table, AFAIK. I doubt FDX has had to bargain to keep their jobs, either.
I think here they are basically telling us that they are putting our scope up for sale for the right price. Am I reading it wrong? That is one of the two things I got from the message. The other one is that other pilot groups are struggling and the NMB is tough, so don't expect much on this contract. It's amazing how much is carefully written between the lines. Or maybe I'm just getting old and cynical!

Couldn't that sentence mean scope improvements are on the bargaining table.
