Wow, this thread is getting really boring.
Latest from CPO in the northeast...
777 order in the low teens
717s, # to be determined
20% pay raise, quick contract with few rules changes (hence the willingness to work over the last 2 years for LOAs)
Increased number of 76 seaters
60-65 medical benefits to encourage retirements
nothing stated regarding hiring
discuss...(already a huge no vote from me on scope alone)

- Medical benefits to encourage retirements was offered to all other employees.
- Aircraft orders are not a contract item.
- Scope needs to improve especially for large RJs, not permit more.
So basically the rumored offer would be a 20% raise with strings attached...
I not sure that "offer" would make me "feel connected to Delta & the brand"
Cheers

I love Delta because it has smart people. I am really glad for the times when we could select the brightest from the applicants. Too bad those times are gone..
My strike fund is ready. My family is ready.
I am ready for the "Look! Delta pilots are hampering the company growth and with them voting no we will have to liquidate tomorrow" psychological warfare.
Lets get a good contract!

They can increase the 76 seaters if they get the 717's, isn't that correct?

Further scope erosion equals NO on my ballot.

Yes, but only if they hit a mainline fleet count of 767(I think) AND they must remove 70 seaters in order to do so.(Which may be difficult to do since many CRJ700's and EMB170's are under contract) The total number of large RJs(51-76 seats) may NOT exceed 255 REGARDLESS of fleet count.
Plus the company already has agreements in place at other airlines to fly those 70 seat birds so not so easy to dump them, just to have to buy a new jet that has 6 more seats.... Not a very good business decision IMHO.
