Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Total cost for T6 renovation was $271M
AS paid $18.6M for paint, trim and floor coverings in the AS areas, flight monitors and the "board room"
LAWA is paying for the majority of the renovation as part of a settlement with AS. LAWA and Alaska Airlines announce $271-million renovation of Terminal 6
Cheers

You guys new to dtw should look into saline. Just south of Ann arbor. Also Brighton, just north of Ann arbor. Saline is 22 mins driveway to parking lot and Brighton is further west at about 45 mins. Both routes never hit traffic and I mean never. Also heard Chelsea west of Ann arbor is nice. I had a home in saline but the wife couldn't take the winters. :-)

News out of ISTAT RE:717s
Here's a tweet from airline analyst Holly Hegeman at ISTAT just a few minutes ago:
"Those @AirTran 717s at @SouthwestAir? They're gone. Confirm from our sources at #ISTAT12 that @Delta has deal in place for those birds."
Interesting...

If the 717s are slated to join the mad dog fleet, Delta will need several months' work to get the cockpits nasty, beat-up, and generally disgusting enough to be standardized with the 88s/90s currently on the property.

Hey guys I noticed on the DAL profile page they changed it to say all pilots on furlough bypassed recall and changed the furlough # to read 0? Last time I checked the seniority list we still had about 240 guys showing on there with recall rights. Of course we know they have bypassed but is there something I don't know about, as in have they given up their recall rights? Because if not we still have furloughs right?
Additionally, guys who went on long mil leave after the recall should all have pretty much hit the 5 year limit for mil leave now. It's a complicated can of worms there, with different types of orders not counting towards the 5 years (but those were rare and hard to get after 2007), but in general most mil leave folks from the furlough will have exceeded their "normal" recall times now also. Not hoping anyone ill, but just like to be able to predict with some accuracy how many of those 240 furlough and 140 mil leave or more are actually still out there waiting to flow back in above me
As a furlough and mil leave guy, I'd concur with the accuracy of the company posting actually.

Should this be taken seriously?

Would the 717s be replacement or growth aircraft? Obviously replacements for the DC-9s... but there are a lot more 717s than DC-9s.
If replacements, hopefully its replacing regional lift. But most likely it'll be replacements for other mainline aircraft.

Now here is what the 73NG...NG wing should be:
You could put a very big bypass fan on this way.
