Some FO schedules are out........
I like the way you think. It's easy to point out the million reasons we shouldnt get a raise. I bit of defeatist way to go about things. Several here seem to do that alot (I suspect a few are management). You, on the other hand, give a very good reason why Delta could afford to give a healthy raise. I especially like your take the bull by the horns lead the way attitude.

Translation:
"There's a lot of exciting large Rj airframes coming to market soon, many of which are already on firm order by current DCI whipsaw providers under long term contract to DL, inc., and DL wants to outsource them to the lowest bidder. We will work on "creative solutions" to get those jets to the proper pilot groups by any means necessary."
I mean seriously, what else could he have meant? Best case, and I mean best case, he was merely thinking about 70 and up seat turboprops. Absolute best case.

You should also negotiate minimum standards for newhire pilots in there. I don't think I've ever seen this before but it could be very beneficial with the upcoming "pilot shortage" / massive hiring / whatever.
All pilots hired at Delta shall have:
Civilian background-
3000 TT,
1000 Turbine PIC
Military flight training successfully completed-
1000 TT
500 Turbine PIC
Or whatever you guys feel appropriate. Keep the standards high. That'll help combat a lot of downward pressure in the future. They'll have to keep wages high to attract the qualified applicants when there is a shortage of them out there.

It is obvious to me that the conflict of interest that DALPA so vehemently denies is real. If it was not real, our opener would have included taking flying back. The fact of the matter is, if we take flying back, we will put our regional pilots out of work. I'm fine with that. Long term everyone will be better off. There will be some regional pilots that do not get hired at Delta, but most probably will. ALPA national would have to approve an agreement that DALPA signs making this happen. Like it or not, that opens ALPA to a DFR suit from the regional pilots. They can deny it as much as they want, but DALPA puts out very weak language when it comes to scope. The facts speak for themselves.

Does anyone know how the management pilots pay is derived? Is it a salary, straight hours, or is there any performance pay included(not profit sharing)...thanks
Generally speaking, I think it is 85 hr on what they could hold plus an over-ride. Don't know how much the over-ride is. Most of them fly one trip a month.
