I prefer all white-washed jeans. I consider then my "fun jeans." The higher the waist, the better.

I will state this. His data is wrong. The average Captain at SW gets 105 trips per month. That works out to 234,000. He does not get that in 12 days. Their average line is 90TFP. and about 13 days a month worked.(That is out of their welcome package where they state the average line is built with 17 days off) A SW pilot posted the line averages from one base and they are right on these numbers. These are system wide numbers. After picking up trips the average pilot gets to 105 TFP but is now working 15 to 16 days a month. These are average numbers. Junior guys are working more and senior guys less. You stay junior there longer however because of one aircraft type.
There is confusion from a statement that over the last 5 years the average SW pilot had 18 days off a month. The average Delta pilot was probably even better then that. That statement is every pilot at the airline based on actual days worked. That means taking out mil leave, sick, reserve days not worked, vacation time, personal leaves ect...
So yes there is a miss understanding of how many days SW pilots work. You can easily run the numbers yourself based on their average TFP per day verses the 105 TFP needed to get to the average for the month. Its not rocket science. You do have to read the welcome package carefully. I have lots of friends there. They work far harder then I do however I have always chosen to stay senior in category when able.

But our code share partner's new code share partner sure has a lot of 777's. They even tail numbered/lettered the 1000th one from the factory "EGO" as they probably pencil whip another real estate bubble style liar loan on the backs of the taxpayers thanks to the "IMEX" foreign airline welfare system.

It could be done easily in a differences course if there was a FAA approved one. Ditto DC9 to MD-88. Unfortunately there is none. Prior experience with hammer and chisel do help those new to the DC9, as does one of those math for pilot refreshers.

No Soup and a full initial for you!

easily done?....Maybe your an exception but I would have to say absolutely not. Apples and oranges...Some switches look the same but that can bite you, they have different ways to be operated and different values. A differences course would be the same content and length as a full course.

Going from the nine to the 88....the only thing that is the same is how to turn on ground power. Otherwise everything is different. All navigation, all com panels, all engine parameters and gauges.....different.
