Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
The NMB stuff is just an EXCUSE. Sure, if you do like the APA before their BK and ask for a 50% immediate raise, then maybe the NMB may shake their heads. If you go in asking for a 15% raise the first year, plus 5-7% per year after that, and go for better rules and scope, essentially spreading it out but NOT minimizing it for the sake of being scared, then that should be acceptable. Is ALPA looking for a way out of ACTUALLY NEGOTIATING? Sure, the NMB is a GREAT EXCUSE. AMR and DL are different companies, with different financials. Other than size, you can't compare the two financially at all, and DL has already been through BK and taken care of things that AMR has yet to do, giving us the financial advantage. This type of reasoning is called DEFEATIST reasoning. The NMB is ALPA's Boogie man. Watch out for the Boogie Man, it MIGHT tell us to go in the corner.....oh no! What you are forgetting is that RA and management want to continue the consolidation roll, and don't want distractions from pilot negotiations that could get ugly (and produce a slower SOC if everyone is bogged down in negotiations).

Exactly right, but you'll not see it acknowledged by some...instead we will see the continued lauding of the "SWAPA model", the "far better functioning union". There will be no explanation of the years they they spent as management's lackey with vastly lower pay-scales enabling Herb to undercut the rest of us.
Isn't that management's job? Are you in management? whether you are or aren't, there's no excuse for sandbagging on this contract. sit down and shut the **** up.
It is more a matter of listening to the pilot group and soliciting feedback, something that has been asked for over and over again by the pilot group.
T.O. is really putting a lot of energy into soliciting input from pilots and collecting information so that DALPA can better represent us in all aspects of our career at DAL. This is a small project and really didn't take "time and energy" away from prepping for openers, IMHO.

My point was, there are many, many things which should take priority over changing a uniform which has served the pilot group just fine for the last 70 years. I hope ALPA listens just as attentively to our demands and concerns over the next year.

Any word on ATL DC9 base? Seems like a waste of training to open a new category to shut it down a year later.....

Call The Rolex Service Center. There are 2 in the country (NY or DAL). THey will send you an insured FEDex box. You send the watch to them. After about 6-10 weeks, your watch will come back to you looking brand new, regulated, cleaned, regulated etc. Warranty too (2 years). Pricey but worth it.
First call them. Dallas is the better of the two and I would NOT use an independent jeweler (might save $100-$200) to work on that watch.
Dallas RSC = 214-871-0500

Bought it in 1986 GMT master II
I just got my Rolex back from my watch guy in SMF. He is not Rolex certified but is A+ in every way. Very meticulous and does a Rolex service for $275. He works on all my watches and is a pleasure to work with. PM me if interested in details or you can google Paul's Watch and Clock Repair.
I've heard good and bad about RSCs, but have no personal experience with them. From what I've heard, be wary of the cosmetic replacements they may recommend. Your watch probably doesn't need new hands, dial etc. but that's where they make their money.
