Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
How will it improve productivity? Are you planning B scale work rules for the New hires? I sure hope not. Normally hiring actually reduces overall productivity since you end up with a lot of pilots in the school house. During past major hiring binges we had to overstaff around 10 percent for training volume. That is why when the hiring stops we are always overstaffed.
Actual pay costs will go down as you bring pilots in at the bottom of scale. That is however a somewhat temporary gain.

This group has been looking to develop a flow through agreement with Delta and is focused on those pilots serving the Delta Connection system. Since it is easy to determine who that is in our combined pilot group, those flying the CRJ could become eligible in the event that an agreement is reached; however, there is nothing that includes the ERJ pilots at this time. These discussions are still in the infancy stage with the Delta MEC and, therefore, Delta Airlines management. I have been part of these meetings in the past, as have previous chairmen. Additionally, the XJT MEC has tasked me to form an alliance with the ALPA carriers flying in the United Express system. This group could be tasked by their respective MECs to work on a flow through agreement with the United MEC and United Airlines management. I am in the beginning stages of forming this alliance.

Reserve question that has been asked a million times. At what point are you considered done? I'm within 4h23m of alv.

Isn't that a result of inefficiency due to shrinkage? My Delta experience has not been particularly productive, with 4 full aircraft training courses in < 5 years as a result of repeated displacements. (figuring March bid will be another displacement)
If so, they need to penalize our management; since a Google search of "Delta Air Lines Growth" gets the same number of results as "French Military Victories."
... actually, Air France has scored flying from us ... so maybe this example is even worse a comparison than initially conceptualized.
Tuesday reminder: The buckets need to change.
When you are within two hours of the ALV. You could be assigned a trip on your last on call day if it were DH only since credit it tallied at the end of the trip and would fall into next month.

Thanks. Guess I'm screwed then Sitting SC #5 with the highest raw of 4 pages of reserves by about 50 points. Betting I get #6 for tomorrow.
Yeah, but....
There may be 12 yr FDAL sitting in some left seat somewhere, but there are NO FNWA 12 yr sitting in a left seat and are no where near holding a left seat. Just sayin....

Was a bad idea at Northwest and will be an even worse idea now. Should Delta come by a windfall of pilots it'll drive down DALPAs negotiating capital. Management will say "Why would we have to buy pilots? We have xx thousand that just signed on the shiny dotted line to sit in the right seat of the MD-88 for 3 years"
Now isn't the time. I hope this is obvious to everyone who is looking forward to our "+40%" (Lol)

I sure hope not. Should that even be a question?
It's interesting how folks are getting away with saying "I'm not willing to give up any scope!" like it's a bold or aggressive statement. A General puffing up his chest and shouting to his troops that "we're not going to surrender any more ground!" would rightly get snickers from the troops who realize the incongruity between the words he spoke and the effect with which they were delivered.
Sailing- have any of your reps stated that scope recapture is a top priority?
I'm not questioning the validity of the current negotiating strategy, just pointing out that I think some are getting away with trying to pass a weak position on scope off as a strong one by hoping we pay more attention to the boldness of delivery rather than he literal meaning of words spoken.
