Default Muslim underwear bomber goes to jail

The Muslim terrorist who tried to kill 290 of our passengers and our co workers was sentenced to life in jail today. It is a shame our taxpayers will pay for the rest of his miserable existence. IMHO, they should have released him back to his people with a GPS tracking collar and a pair of F15's with thousand pounders about 15 minutes in trail spacing. Got no problem making a Martyr of that .... .

Glad his attorney's "He didn't really manage to do anything" defense failed.

Underwear bomber gets life: He never expressed doubt or remorse, judge says - CSMonitor.com

I knew some guys in Iraq that could make that pain last a little longer.

If old Carl was king, this little pecker-head would be an organ donor tomorrow. 1 heart, 2 lungs, 2 kidneys and 1 liver would give life to 6 deserving and needy people. Tomorrow, I would force him to give meaning to his pathetic life.

As Delta shrinks and upgrades go out 15-20 years it becomes almost nonsensical (from a pure economic view) to remain at Delta for most people hired since 2000.
January 2010 - Delta Pilots In Category = 10,632
January 2012 - Delta Pilots In Category = 10,653

We are slowly being liquidated.

Fair enough but the point is that the price is getting to a point where it time to split it and it makes a stock swap look less lopsided.

If any company decided to split for that reason, then they don't understand stock splits. The main reason companies split their stock is when the price makes it difficult for retail investors to purchase in 100 share lots. In theory, this allows more moms and pops to own your stock.
I agree that it is one of the main reasons, and generally it is to allow more upward mobility. That is less of a case these days when most mom and pop's just buy stock through funds.

ALK splitting their stock is meaningless to advancing an acquisition, or defending against one. The CEO resigning is very noteworthy though.

Carl
Not meaningless, but I agree their CEO quitting and them announcing a stock split on the same day is very noteworthy.
