Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
I was fishing around the roster reports, trying to get back to mine (dang pgup and pgdn buttons) and I saw this on someones bid:
And this is the warning that keeps me from down bidding off the 88/90 to the 737 or A320:
Warning: You have a Start Next in your last bid group. If the Start Next in this bid group triggers, PBS will jump to the system generated bid groups below which contain no preferences. The system generated bid groups will cause PBS to first try to build any regular line than try to build any reserve line if it is unable to build a regular line. See PBS Notepad 36 for more details..
Disclaimer: This warning was added to the Navtech reasons report by Delta and the ALPA PBS Committee. These are advisory only. We hope these alerts are helpful, but you will have to judge as to whether or not this warning is applicable and requires a change to your bidding strategy. w3
I've got to hand it to the ALPA PBS and/or Navtech folks, smart to add some helpful hints. Disclaimer: This warning was added to the Navtech reasons report by Delta and the ALPA PBS Committee. And this is the warning that keeps me from down bidding off the 88/90 to the 737 or A320:
Warning: You are junior. You were unstacked into everything you didn't want. Next time, be more senior. Or just don't bid because you wasted your time. We will see you on the first day of the month, you will be at the top of the RUO. We will abuse you. Have fun. See Seniority List and Category List for more details..
So will your 737 type before you apply. It's almost equal nowadays and remind them of that if you decide not to get your type beforehand.
10 points to the first SWA interviewee that makes a joke about killing kittens. 80? Can you apply again just to go on the interview and say that you sacrificed kittens prior to your 737 ride?
Yes and no. Short call start times are a big wild card. Last week the most senior guy in the bucket had a raw of 10 due to 2 short calls. He was the 3am guy and got called at 4am for a 7am show for a 5 day trip. There were several junior guys on short call who were also good for a 5 day trip but their SC contact time didn't start until 8-10am so guess who got the trip, yup, the most senior guy. I could give you a dozen more examples where a senior guy will fly before a junior guy but I am late to meet my girl for happy hour. Again, bucket is just a tie breaker if all else is equal.
Do we get paid for rotations in the shadow period after training?

Mine didn't show correctly till the end of the month. It had BOTH the shadow trip and the OE trip and I thought I was going to be RICH
But, of course they figured it out..........you will get the OE trip or the shadow trip (which ever is greater - assuming they touch).
Clear as mud?
