Yeah bro.. you don't have to worry about it since you are gonna be steppin' right into a shiney 767ER as soon as you can... wow.

Give away more scope and 76 seat flying, maybe.
In that case you may see a J4J deal with the sale of compass. I sure hope not, but you never know.
Best case would be Compass here, restrictions on the remaining 76 seat flying and a nice order of larger E jets. It makes sense for the company, and would be great furlough mitigation.
Once can always wish

The agreement allows CPZ to be sold and the flow thru would still remain. The only time the flow can be stopped is if CPZ is sold and they no longer fly under the Delta banner.

If I'm not mistaken, what we have is an agreement that the company will not furlough, unless the economy is bad. When the only time the company would want to furlough is when the economy is bad.

Priceless and worthless at the same time.
i talked with a union rep the other day that was certain that the no furlough clauses and triggers would hold up. He said on top of that most people have no idea how ridiculously expensive it would be to the company to furlough. Combine that with the fact the company has been trying very hard to keep morale up and follow through with all the promises they have made to the government about layoffs, you have alot of things pointing to no f-bomb.

With that said, i personally think the regionals are going to feel the brunt of all of this just as mgmt has been saying. they want to pull down the regional flying as much as possible so we'll see how the cards fall. i'm personally optimistic but realize that anything could happen. If it does, then there are worse things that could happen.

Pass the kool-aid!! It's coming... sorry to be so negative. The shareholders don't care about morale.

considering that the last time the company furloughed with a no furlough clause in place they lost and one was also just upheld at DHL we have a pretty good chance at keeping this one upheld. You've made it clear over and over that you're a sky is falling individual and thats to bad. We've invested enough time and heartburn into this industry as it is, so you'll have to excuse me if i dont let all this raise my blood pressure and be a chicken little through all of this. Call it kool-aid all you want but i'm just looking at all the info and not just automatically assuming the worst in everything.

carry on

Super, no they didn't. They won and I sat out for 6 years. I was recalled and happily so but Bloch upheld DAL's furlough based on FM. The way I was treated by DAL during the furlough was exemplary but it was a furlough nonetheless.

I agree, i was referring to the FM and below post. My point is that there are many things that point towards not furloughing. If there wasnt a cost to the company and numerous negetive effects to a furlough then i would agree it would happen without hesitation. This go around is different though. with that theres roughly 2 years for a breakeven point on furloughs and even the pessimists believe a recovery is less than 2 years out. You also have retirements coming as the age 65 rule is 2 years in effect already and the company cant predict who will go and when thus keeping them on their toes. We'll see but like i've said before, hope for the best and plan for the worst.

Well, that is good news. I am all for putting the company on notice that we will litigate to enforce the no furlough clauses. Otherwise what did we negotiate them for?
