If you find me sounding that way let me know and I'll take it back.

I come on here to hear about your problems and Carl's problems and 80EffenFTBuzzBid's problems and look forward to the day those can be my problems too.

I mostly lurk, but if I can take a kitten jab at the SWA guys or throw in the perspective of a tired regional guy, I'll speak up.

I'm sorry that you retreat into your angry place when you hear the name Comair.

Hey Boomer, don't mind Bacon...he is a new guy on the board. Most of the guys that have been reading this board more than a month or two enjoy your perspective and realize your non-affiliation with JC and the gang.

Ok--
I'm sorry for getting in your grill, Boomer.

I really need to refrain from posting when I'm a few beers in!

Most Delta guys are much less of an ass than I am, I promise.

Thank you. If I get the opportunity to throw gear for you someday, I'm sure we'll make it a good trip.

Ironically, JC frakked most Comair guys on that prospect.

Is JC still at Com Air? Or did he retire?

I would venture to say that most Comair guys, former and current, are not JC fans. He had just as many enemies within Comair as he did outside of it.

I left Comair Spring of last year, and he was still there when I left.

He's still on the seniority list but it looks like his kid is gone.

Rumor had it he (his son) interviewed at Big D, when they were hiring last time.

Going down should be no problem, and you SHOULD be able to clear with the crew if you write you name in on the GenDec. If memory serves me right, you can handwrite your name on the form and it's okay, but you'll want to verify that.

Coming back is a different story. They had no idea what a jumpseater was. The line for security after clearing the ticket counter was incredibly long and inefficient. Make sure you show up with LOTS of time (ie before the crew gets to the airport). Of course, if you already know the captain you have an advantage as he can probably grease the skids for you.

Have fun. If you are adventurous, I recommend taking the bus or renting a car and heading up to Bucerias (sp?) which is about 25 minutes north of PVR on the coast. It's a small town with CHEAP beer, CHEAP tacos, and a nice quiet beach. Not sure how the recent Mexican ganglandscape has affected that area though, as it's gotten a lot worse since I was last down there.

Buen viaje!
Thanks Leine. I plan on reserving the JS both ways prior to leaving the states, so I should be on the JS screen when they pull me up...no?

Also, I will be in uniform, doesn't PVR have a seperate crew line like CUN?
