I like the Greek Salad place at DTW.

BTW 2011 W-2s are available.

Nu, Road, Frog, thanks! I'm tired of striking out so I'll try those... one at a time.

I really do miss the burrito place in A. That was good stuff.

The C-5 was, to use the proper vernacular, "wicked cool". (Awesome photo Frog!)

The burrito place was closed due to complaints from FTB's crew

How about this?

My brother has been a firefighter at a very large, major refinery on the east coast for some 20 years that is officially closing this month. Management indicated that the place is for sale last year. There has been spottings of "suits" touring the place over the last several months. Several weeks ago some of the suits were sporting Delta ID badges.? At a refinery?

Our q400's are not making money for continental nor are our saabs so if those rates are not changed those planes are gone too.
Leads me to the following question, if those things happen we are left with 141 200s and 41 900s all flying for delta, could that be a good opportunity at that point for Delta to repurchase a bankrupt regional carrier and basically absorb them over time through a flow type situation as they park 200's in an attempt to eliminate a regional carrier and bring more flying back into mainline? Its not me saying hey just buy us so that i get a mainline job, its more saying, if delta wants to park 200's, here is 141 of them right here and with the upcoming retirements as pilots retire, you retire 200's as well and bring those pilots onto a bigger plane (on probation for a year since they didnt have to interview) It would also make sense if they wanted to bring on the c series because that plane will pay less anyways.
Ok i just woke up, but what if.........

I do not see DAL buying any more regionals. The jets are last generation, even the CR900 and within ten years they will be replacing them. FWIW, the CRJ900's you guys are flying are "at risk" contracts, and are better for DAL. That is the way these things are going. I cannot see DAL buying any regional. They want the debt off the balance sheet, even if they have to pay them more to make sure they stay in operation.

They have had a plan on that since the JAL deal. They wanted MD-90's to feed the JAL744 that flew DFW NRT. I can see them still wanting that.

The Online Cafe has a special employee menu, don't forget to ask for it.

I am sure that DAL will have many "newsworthy" events in the next year.

There was an article on deltanet about 8 months ago discussing how delta was looking at all sorts of ideas to reduce their long term costs, they specifically mentioned buying a refinery as a possibility. Also mentioned was ab-initio pilot training and direct Entry for college grads, no joke.

I can't blame them. Don't fart around your potty training kids btw, they'll accuse you of having a poopy in your pants. "No I don't." "Yes you do dada!"

Speaking of C-5s, tie this all in, I was flying with a C-5 guy who had the best line "it's hard getting old, you never know what's going to happen when you fart."

Gamble and lose. Gamble and lose.

It'd be brilliant really.

Thanks. I'm going to have to find this Online Cafe place, I've never seen it but I knew I've been missing out on food. I've resorted to McDonalds the last couple of times.
