Live out west now and would never go back. I noticed no one mentioned living in Montana or Utah. I completely understand why... No mountains or scenery at all, lots of a**holes, ridiculous taxes, the weather sucks, cost of living is obscene. You get the point. Don't even think of moving here.
I live minutes away from one of the more liberal cities in the country, yet I pay no state income tax, and most times, no state sales tax - and my property taxes are reasonable. Oh, and the city has more breewerys than any other in the country. But, of course, theres no mountains or scerery here either, and it rains 24/7/365 - so its a crappy place to live. To bad its no longer a DL pilot base.

Live in Vancouver.....buy everything in Portland. Just don't get caught buying a car in Portland and not registering it in Washington!!! The cops used to hang out on the 205 bridge when I was based there.

Atlanta is cheap and I have cool neighbors. I don't really like it here though. My snowboards are just collecting dust. Anything in sight of the Rockies, Sierras, or Cascades is perfect. Heck, if I can see a volcano and ski on it I'm happy. The year they closed Mt. Baker to dig out the chair lifts was epic....1000 inches of snow!!! Left coast is the best coast.

SEA is a great place to live........well maybe not for the last couple of days! Six inches of snow at my place yesterday and we are currently experiencing freezing rain. The airport now has one runway open and ALOT of cancelations. Glad I'm not flying until saturday!!

But it's cold up there! For max freedom, move down here to Louisiana: plenty of laws, but people don't obey them; high insurance, but people don't buy it; politicians are sleazy, but so are the voters....

FTB,

That is so funny!! Reminds me of the time years ago (I won't date myself or my wife!) My girlfriend (now my wife) and I went to the Seafair Parade in Seattle. We were standing on the sidewalk watching the parade and a motorcycle cop went by, saw her and ALMOST did the same thing! His swerve at the last minute cleared the car unlike that sop!

I hadn't noticed this until you said it. Looking at ATLM88B, the second to last pilot on the list held a line in FEB. Is reserve going to be that much more desirable with the new seniority changes? I would think MAYBE in a slow month, but not over the summer when reserves fly almost every day.

Granted, most of the junior lines were under 70 hours, so I guess guys would rather bid reserve, not fly much and get 70 than fly 68 for 68.

How has the open time been on ATLM88B? Are WS available or is opentime hard to come by like on the 73N in ATL?

Default Another mystery?

Sifting through the awards for FEB I notice a guy with Terciary and Quaternary vacation with a seniority number of almost 12,000?

How is it possible for someone with less than 5 years seniority to have 4 weeks of vacation?
