The 24-7 news coverage with ESPN 1-99 must drive the Coaches crazy, but alas, such is the world we live in.

Yeah, that's exactly what happened Scoop. And resting Rodgers for three weeks looks like a huge mistake.

Anyhoo, hey, is your schedule for next month still inhibited on ICrew? I can pull mine up on the Scheduling site but not in ICrew.

Doing the big stuff like wifi and power outlets in terminals are huge plus stuff on delta.com. But talking to one person in management when they needed a customer oriented thing done to significantly improve their experience and they put in their request and were told it'd be done... in a year. Lots of corporations are like that though, Bellsouth was when my wife needed stuff done when she worked on the web store. Our IT probably need manpower. I have a feeling making Icrew safari capable was something requested a long time ago.

But to your point, our IT doesn't suck, I agree. It's just that the stuff we interface which isn't a priority I bet. But we need stuff to make irops better and automate day to day scheduling.
I can tell you that they aren't willing to pay for skilled IT folks. My son was interviewed for an IT position last year. After all the negotiation they offered him $10k less per year than he was currently making. He declined the offer and was hired by HP 60 days later making $20k more than his current salary. You can't get good folks like that.

So the legacy airlines practice "capacity dicipline" for the greater good of the industry and the so called "LCC's" grow like crazy. You can't shrink your way to profitability. If today's MBA crowd thinks we can keep shrinking at a rate that pulls more seats than LCC/start-ups add that is clearly an unsustainable business model.

We have to be able to compete and win customers. All of them too, not just HVC's. And we have to be willing to compete. We have to go after all the LCC's and dominate at least some of them. Pulling down seats to drive up yields also drives up our own costs and when other airlines are racing to add the seats we pulled out at lower costs something is going to give. Another merger will only mask this problem a little bit longer.

Each legacy needs to go after a LCC hard, no matter the cost because the cost of not doing so may be everything. You can't keep giving away marketshare to a lower cost competitor just to drive up yields in the short term.

Yep,

Normally I-crew runs a few days after the D-NET schedule release.

Does this include flights on DCI?

T, when "we" actually get some priority you are going to like what is coming. Just off the top of my head, the ACARS and the easier access to flight data is going to blow you away.

You guys spent money on datalinked flight plans and SAT/CPDLC etc that we didn't, and we love it. Wait till you get the stuff we spent money on back then...........Bubba like

Hey Scoop,

There is a bunch of open time showing. Is that because the schedules aren't loaded into I-crew yet?

I know about her.. I was just waiting for the inevitable gloating about something most know nothing about nor have any control over...

From little I'm hearing, better stuff than any of us are used to is on the horizon.
