Yep, sad day in Muddville. Pack peaked too early this year and McCarthy was out-coached by Coughlin. Rodgers being off for 3 weeks didn't help. They need some defensive help next year. Back to flying the line. Frees up Super Bowl Sunday for me.

My comment was aimed at stirring the pot a little with the comment about senior guys not supporting the junior guys by ignoring scope. Those seem to crop up about twice a week, and they just get a little old.
One issue I raised on the phone survey as well as contract survey, was that ALPA national take the lead. My specific point was, get together with all pilots unions at the national level and find a way to bridge the gap between age 60 or (any year between 60-65 sliding scale) and Medicare. Find a way to develop a co-op among professional unions and pilots to fund medical cost and/or supplements to premiums between retirement and medicare.

Pilots in general are more healthy than general public based on the fact we are required to pass medical exams 2x a year. (would love to see real world statistics but it is my guess). Mass of scale may be enough to get health coverage for the senior guys to pull the trigger and go if the right deal can be struck. This is one facet of making the decision to retire but one I feel would help pilots make the decision. I would pay 25-50 a month to fund it if it did mean movement and improvement in QOL.

I know the details are not crystal clear, but Tsquare did raise the idea by asking for contributions to help make the decision to go. Not directly to his point nor would the money go directly to him, but it would benefit all of us in the long run....

Just sayin!

After they beat the undefeated Patriots in the SB and 15-1 Packers you've got to admit those Giants are Giant killers.

You mean last year's SB winners and this year's 15-1 hype? I got my Motel 6 down payment back.
