I think it's working out great.
Delta is going to pay profit sharing this year. Final numbers will be announced January 25, but preliminary shows 4.5% of your salary from 2011.
The slot swap should increase Delta's revenues by $200 million. While the initial number of mainline flights was disappointing I think we're far better off long term having those slots rather than LUV, jetBlue or another competitor having them. If you'd like to return them let me know how that works out for you.
Oh, Delta pilot compensation increased another $100 million January 1. That's in addition to profit sharing. I want more, but whining won't get it for you.

Yes - the compensation did go up $100 million. But calling it an "increase" could be considered subjective. You could just as easily call it a "partial recovery" depending on your baseline dates.

I know this has been covered before, but I'm asking again. MMC stands for Mid Month Conversion, yes? My training starts 1/15 and should end 2/15. That means I should get my new category pay starting on 2/1, correct?
Not really - it will still be broken down by Days of availability before raw comes into play. A 3 day trip still won't go to a 4 day guy unless there aren't any 3 day people left.

I didn't realize until reading the recent update that there are only 3 reserve raw score categories. I thought it was going to be grouped in 10-20 point categories. Since it starts with 1-80, and in my category, people don't go over 80 very much, I think the senior reserves will have a LOT of time off if they want it. I'm not sure if I will like it or not, but I definitely like that a 1 point difference doesn't trump seniority, and I also definitely like that it will be easier to YS now.

4-5% per year is not a raise. It is treading water or losing money more often than not.
In my category daily there are 4 day 3 day 2 day and 1 day trips assigned, so I will be working everyday until I hit 81 points or until I have a 30 and 7 issue.
I thought the new score/bucket list was supposed to approximate 1/2 the month for the first bucket (ie < 35 hours), so looking at my raw with just under 35 hours, it is just under 80 points. I guess it works.

I'll try to articulate some of my concerns about these closed meetings and the MEC getting "privileged" information from management. ---> I think some in our union leadership start to see themselves as some sort of quasi-executives in charge of pilot affairs. (the whole birthday party thing)
They then make decisions and take action on certain issues without line pilot input and they justify that by referring to information they have but can't disclose to the rank and file.
Also, I think they are kidding themselves if they don't think management is feeding them carefully selected information designed to influence their behavior. They have no way to verify if they are getting the whole picture.
What also bugs me is the reps may not be free to communicate openly on various issues to their constituents because the subject matter was discussed in one of these confidential briefings. Even if they would have known the basic facts without attending the closed meeting. Now they can't discuss it at all because they signed a paper saying they wouldn't.
Scope and codeshares and joint ventures are a perfect example. The things just seem to get signed without any input or opportunity for debate among line pilots. The enforcement and monitoring of the joint ventures is also a mystery wrapped in an enigma. Line pilots are left with "You'll just have to trust us, they are in compliance".
Sorry, I'm rambling. I just have a deep suspicion about the non-disclosure system.

Oh, there have been increases or partial restoration (whichever term soothes your psyche) every year since we left bankruptcy, so your baseline statement is, well, baseless. How's AMR's 52% increase coming?
