Hey, most guys just take their pics out the window, whatever you want to do you can do. You're a mod.

Somehow I believe the woman standing beside me is in a turtleneck pushes the PG-13 boundary.

on Delta related news...

  • Delta Air Lines has launched three new international routes since Christmas. On 28 December, the airline began operating four times weekly from Honolulu, HI (HNL) to Fukuoka (FUK) in southern Japan with 767-300ER aircraft. This is the airline’s fourth route from the Hawaiian airport to Japan after flights to Tokyo Narita, Osaka Kansai and Nagoya. The new route is operated seasonally between December and April as well as from July to September. On 1 January, Delta launched another seasonal service when the airline connected Busan (PUS) in South Korea with Saipan (SPN) in the US associated Northern Mariana Islands; a distance of 2,785 kilometres. The twice-weekly service, which is operated until 2 March with 757-200s, competes with Asiana’s also twice-weekly flights. From Minneapolis/St Paul (MSP), Delta launched a weekly service on 7 January to Liberia (LIR) in Costa Rica with its 737-800s. The service is operated until 14 April and competes with Sun Country Airlines’ also weekly operation.
So yes, we're going to Hawaii to FUK.

Here are the TOS:

Additional information you should consider when posting here:

Site Administrators and Moderators have the final say in editing or removing posts from this forum.

Abiding by the following guidelines will make everyone's experience of the forums more enjoyable. We're all here primarily to discuss the piloting profession; we all share in the good and the bad that this industry has to offer. Please use the "good neighbor" policy when posting to this site. If you wouldn't say it to your neighbor face to face, than don't say it here (and we are talking about a hypothetical neighbor that you like and respect, not necessarily your current neighbor).

Topics Not for Discussion

There are currently NO forums that provide a venue for discussing politics or religion. While DreamLaunch Media Ltd. and Airline Pilot Central embrace the diversity the world has to offer, these subjects often are very emotional and there are many different views. In our experience the wide range of views and emotions rarely contribute to a harmonious online community or beneficial contributions to the piloting profession.

Content

NO nudity or links to nudity is allowed, male or female. If you’re looking for porn, this is NOT the place. Any topic that is considered greater than PG-13, with or without images, will be closed and removed without question. User avatars or usernames with image content or suggestive phrases may be removed at the sole discretion of the site administrators.

Security

Any post that in the opinion of the site Administrators and Moderators poses a risk to security at ANY level will be removed without question. Loose lips sink ships.

Commercial Offers - For Sale Threads - Crash Pads - Site Promotion

The APC Forums are not for classified ads or a venue for webmasters to promote their web sites. Any solicitation, link, or promotion may be removed at the sole discretion of the administrators. If you wish to advertise on our forum please contact us to discuss affordable advertising rates.

User Accounts

Forum users are allowed one user account. Users posting under multiple accounts will be removed at the sole discretion of Airline Pilot Central. De-activating and/or canceling an account is as easy as walking away. User accounts without activity within the preceding year (365 days) will be deleted from the database.

Profanity

Airline Pilot Central Forums are presented as a professional resource which many users access from within a work environment. Posts that contain profanity or any language deemed Not Safe For Work (NSFW) will be removed at the moderators discretion. Airline Pilot Forums use an automated profanity filter to obfuscate common off color language. Intentional or creative misspelling does not relieve forum users from this section.

Discretion

What is objectionable to one person may not to be another; the Moderators will use their discretion in this respect. The site Administrators and Moderators carry sole discretion, and their decision will be final. Please respect their decisions. If you have issues with any Moderator decision, contact a Site Mod or Admin through the private message (PM) tool.

Aviation Surveys

The APC forum membership can provide a quality sample source for aviation related research, demographic research, and opinion polls. Researchers wishing to harvest data from APC forum users must follow instructions in the Aviation Survey forum.

Bar;
I am posting this publicly so that you and everyone can see it. I know you are mad at what you see is an injustice. Though not part of the TOS, posting of a PM has always been deemed as unacceptable and the mods have edited them out. I suggest that the posts with PM's get deleted.

You posts have been noticed by the mods and admins. They know you are mad. You made your point. Now take it to a PM with Clee.

ACL,

If an "leader" is going to take a policy position, they should stand by that decision. Being offensive via PM is really no different than being offensive in public. In a position of leadership, EVERYTHING is in public. That is common sense.

Also, what you posted is not the "rules" you and I signed up for. If they are going to make the "Additional" part of the TOS, they should notice everyone.

What you posted is not what members agreed to when they signed up with APC. "Additional considerations" which were not in the TOS are now posted with the "rules." Which is it?

Pretty hard to debate if the rules change as fast as you, and I, can type.
The catch all is that the Admins and Mods can do and edit what they want with no recourse. Period. That is something we all agreed to on day one. In fact that is there to protect us as much as them.

It allows me to delete copyrighted e-mails and items that are violating the TOS without any red tape. Like it or not, it is a catch-all and it has been in there since APC's inception.

The issue of PM's has been a practice that the mods have upheld. If someone does not mind a PM being posted that has been allowed, but generally they are Private hence the name. I understand your angst wrt to Clee and him being the Site Admin, but for now the same practice stands. The mods and admins saw your posts, and the issue is being once again discussed on the Mod boards.

To clarify, the TOS are more restrictive than a PG-13 rating:

PG-13 – Parents Strongly Cautioned – Some Material May Be Inappropriate For Children Under 13. These films may contain sex references, up to four uses of explicit language, drug innuendo, strong crude/suggestive humor, mature/political themes, moderately long horror moments and/or moderate action violence. There are usually no restrictions on non-sexual nudity.

So, basically no one violated the TOS as it's written. Did anyone post nude pics? Nope. Scantily-clad, sure, but nothing you couldn't see at the beach. And frankly, a lot less than you'd see at South Beach.

So, again, what's the standard you're holding us too?

Naturally, the picture of the naked guy's butt is still up.

Added: Okay, ACL, finally the truth comes out. You guys can do whatever you see fit, despite the written rules we've been given. Care to clarify the standards for us, or do you just opt for the Supreme Court definition?

Bar,
I do not believe that Clee was trying to be offensive by using the "respect" word or even inferring that it is part of the TOS. I stated as such earlier tonight via a different delivery method. It goes along this the same lines that this board has with overall professionalism.

People should man up and respond to their PM's. Then things would not boil over to their bosses. Everyone works for someone.
