I probably won't be based out of ATL until next year. Wish it would be sooner so I could support you if you decide to run for 44 LEC Rep. Seems like you've got the big picture. Even with disagreements or mis-understandings, like the one with Carl last week, you do a very effective job of communicating and taking a look at issues from other peoples perspectives. I'd like to see you get involved.

Just my 2 cents.

June 17 (Bloomberg) -- Delta Air Lines Inc., Southwest Airlines Co. and other major U.S. carriers raised fares $20 round trip on most domestic routes in the first increase of that size this year, according to FareCompare.com.

The higher prices, initiated separately on June 10 by Delta and US Airways Group Inc., gradually were matched by other U.S. carriers, including Southwest, Rick Seaney, chief executive officer of the ticket research firm, said today in an e-mail.

Be careful what you wish for. Payrates will be = to the E-195. Looking at our payrate table that will pay the CA $20/hr less than the DC-9. $20/hr ain't worth a shiney new jet to me!

Wouldn't a new payrate have to be negotiated? It's a new aircraft type.

so would you suggest farming that flying out then? The rates haven't been set for the C-series, why write it off already? The nine flying is going to be replaced by something and that something SHOULD be at mainline.

The attitude that its "not good enough" is what has destroyed this industry (the "RJ" being below us). That plane will be very capable and thus the pay should come with it. Whatever replacement plane comes from here on out it needs to be flown by us! Fight for the pay when its here cause once its gone ITS GONE! If the majors write off this next version of the 100+ seaters then say goodbye to YOUR Airbus flying.

I agree Super, let's get the jets and worry about the pay later. This is pivotal regarding the future of our careers IMHO!

Yes it would. I never thought I would be saying this, but the E-190 rates at Jet Blue are going to be a good stepping stone if this aircraft comes into the fleet.

Well, it might be worth it to those sitting right seat to you and a lot of others. FWIW the E-195 rate is $121/hr.

Recall prior to the merger DC9 Capt was $123/hr - is that not worth it to you either?
