Mods get to see some other threads that you don't, including "Reported Posts," which is where regular Joes can say to the Mods "Hey, take a look at this."
So, a couple of days ago, someone reported a political post. No one had touched it for many hours, so I took a look.
And I thought "Yeah, that's political..." But then I saw it connected to the next one, and the next....so, to fix one, I had to fix all.
While checking (through many pages) to make sure I got all the references and follow-ons, the side-boobs came up. At that point, I asked for other Mods to decide.
No, I'm not worked-up (yet) about the UAL-CAL thing. Watching and shaking my cranium. Not tangled in any axles, side-braces, or trunions, and not a bad day, either. And yes, if you knew me well, you'd say I have a pretty good outrageous of humor. BTW: the stick is in my hand, not my..........otherwise, my wife would say there's no room for my cranium...
I can still view APC at work during the rare moments when I have nothing else to do. I'm just trying to keep it within the guidelines I was given, which means (to me): Safe for Work. Trying to make sure I, and others, don't lose that privelege.

Come on. It really does remind me of that scene from that movie. Just tell us you had a bad day and threw Kareem, his team, the opposing team, and a few beer vendors, out of the game on Kareem's farewell tour.

buzz- just to back UAL up... I would have had to delete the political posts as well. It strayed off the allowable path for this forum.
Remember, things outside this thread are typically handled with a bit heavier hand. The other threads aren't the nice bar conversation among friends that this one is. I was visiting my parents until 2100 last night, then spent some needed time with my wife. When ACL, johnso, or myself can't get to things... you may find things handled with a bit heavier hand than the gentle reminder that we are used to in this playground. I've attempted to initiate some discussion in the mod section and perhaps some positive can come from it.
I saw a couple of the political digression posts earlier in the day while I was playing golf with my dad, but I couldn't jump on it and divert it from the highly predictable path that it went down.
Remember, things outside this thread are typically handled with a bit heavier hand. The other threads aren't the nice bar conversation among friends that this one is. I was visiting my parents until 2100 last night, then spent some needed time with my wife. When ACL, johnso, or myself can't get to things... you may find things handled with a bit heavier hand than the gentle reminder that we are used to in this playground. My only point here is that this thread has a life of its own and is largely populated by adults who abide by the rules. We know and like each other. If we're going to be threatened,now, to leave. That's fine. I don't think anyone here will lose anything. APC will be the lesser for it. JMO.

The water's fine. I've had pics taken down (they weren't over the line IMHO, but that's me), entire posts taken down, infractions without a warning and I'm here to say the system is fine by me. So to me it's still the same. But take that with a grain of salt...for all I know I could be one infraction from a permanent ban.
