Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

Which is more productive than many have used it for. I wouldn't give up too soon. You probably weren't here but we did win a furlough grievance the last time. Small consolation to those affected but I'm tired of us negotiating these things than just giving up.
These guys would have had a much harder time doing this merger without us. It resulted in millions of dollars in bonuses for the main players. I don't care what it takes but we need to hold their feet to the fire on this. Start bringing all Delta flying back on Delta property for starters.

ACL, although I have up to 15 years left at Delta and I enjoy the people I work with, I am looking to the future, to other opportunities. When I was furloughed from Delta, I started my own small company which I have since sold. I enjoyed running my own company more than anything that I have done in my life and look forward to doing this again when the time is right.
To my point, I have no ambitions for a management position or position within ALPA, but after watching you over the last 2 1/2 years, I certainly hope that the senior people at Delta recognize your talents and promote you to a position in keeping with your abilities. I predict that you will be in the senior leadership of this company. Keep up the good work.
I see several others on this forum that I believe will be leaders in the company or in whatever pilot union we have. With all the volatility within this industry, it's heartening to see capable people floating to the top.
Thanks for all of you that make yourselves heard.
Respectfully,
TC

I'm still want to vote for Tomcat for MEC Chairman.
Thats if he wants the support of a top notch male dancer.
...
I know we say the furlough protection isn't worth the paper its printed on but is the company sure that a judge would see it the same?

A Federal Judge did just very recently enforce a No Furlough clause, forcing the company to find other options.

I agree, that we need to bring flying back to mainline. We can rationalize what not all of it, part of it, or none of it. What we need to realize is that Delta as a company started its dive for the dirt when outsourcing really took off. I am not saying DAL is not a great company, I am saying it could be better. It is a shadow of what it once was. There is still pride here, that IMHO can be used for something.

You mean like a turd?!
Really though.
TC;
I thank you for the kind words. I know there are a few on here that disagree with your view as there will always be differing opinions.
I do care about this group of pilots. It is a great group of people, and we can and should make this airline great.
I have over 30 years left here. That is a long time. I would like to see a change in direction on a few items.
I am sure that somewhere in the future I will be involved at a higher level. I am not one to sit by and watch the clouds roll by. I like to get involved.
It may be sooner or later. I do not know.
I do know that if we do not find a good FO rep candidate here in ATL, my name might get thrown in the hat. I have had a few good pushes in that direction. Now that could prove interesting, to say the least.

Tomcat. I would not even think about owning a company for at least four more year. There is not going to be enough capital in the market place, and if you start to make it, the taxes will kill ya.
I agree, I have had my hand in a LLC/S-corp before and it was the most time consuming work I have ever done, but also the most enjoyable work I have done.
