If you are, from what I know you don't have to bid this month. It's taken care of. After the bid closes go tell them what you want. It's a new policy they're implementing on ATL 88 B. You can read about it one of those mandatory crew flight bulletin MOU side letter things.

Ha! I'm deffinately junior to you, in fact, I'm junior to just about everyone. I'll be bottom of the Mad Dog in ATL (since I chose to give up my 15 drive to work, and cush reserve schedule on the 320 in MEM to commute to reserve in ATL), but at least I have a job!

This is the only plan that makes economic sense; not that it couldn't be better. The HRA's were too costly and confusing. I'm glad to be back on a more 'traditional' plan.

The planning tool they make available at open enrollment time is indispensable. It's easy to make cost comparisons using your personal data from the last year. Made the decision easy.

Vacation Bid Question:

I'm supposed to convert to a new category in March. But, my vacation screen still looks like I'm set up to bid vacation for my old category (when I ask to see weeks available, it shows weeks for the DC9.).

Am I really still supposed to bid those weeks? Or, am I stuck in some kind of purgatory where I pick up scraps later on?

Thanks.

I've got a friend separating from the military in a year or so and he was inquiring about the turnover numbers at Delta.

Thanks!
There is an updated list, current as of 01Jan12.

Retirement numbers are slightly different than those listed on the Delta Profile page of APC.

In addition to added volume, Southwest's baggage operation has struggled with complexity of connecting lots of different flights in lots of different cities.

Still, Southwest customers aren't complaining. The airline had the fewest complaints per passenger, according to DOT stats.
LOL! That is epic! Flagrant irony on the bags, 15 yard penalty, repeat third down.

And talk about perception being reality. Looks like their pax are drinking the kool aid too...for now.

The funny thing is getting AirTran made their bag numbers significantly better...and they charge for bags! Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!

It is ironic, but SWA is on it. I'm hearing new commercials in the works featuring pilots playing guitars, and passengers being chased by giant balls of red tape.
