Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

Please correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the North vs South furlough clause only come into play if DAL parks a whole fleet of airplanes? Was this not specifically put in there because of our big fear of the 35 yr old DC-9 and $150 oil. Now the -9 is $$ and as long as oil stays around where it is now and our mgmt continues to hedge down here, then the -9 will continue to fly. I would think mgmt knows that if they disproportionatly F from from the N side then it would put a strain on the -9 training dept just as it would the 88 training dept if the opposite occurred. From what I've been seeing and hearing from fleet planning is that they want the right size a/c on the route, period. If a F is coming we collectively will get clipped. IMO of course.

I want to take this opportunity to thank our DAL-N brothers and sisters for bringing a few other much needed upgrades to the domestic fleet....Twix bars, pretzel chips, and fruit. Thank you, thank you, thank you...There are "synergies" to be realized in this marriage.

Hey, I'm pretty fond of the Biscoff cookies. It's always nice to have some fruit as well. But, the Twix is still my favorite. Glad we could bring some good stuff to the table.

I know we've seen some big pull down there on the DAL-N side. As a matter of fact, I believe before the merger was official we sold 10 757's to FedEx and have seen a good amount of 757 displacements as a result. That's what got me kicked off the A320. The DC9 is old school and HOT, but it's awesome to be here at the New DAL.

we need to put more mainline planes on RJ routes. Instead of 7 RJs we could easily do 4-5 mailnline flights. hopefully thats the coming trend.

You do that.
I can't decide whether I should study the LSAT, MCATS, GMAT or HVAC. Just can't decide.

I put down the law around my house - I don't care if AirTran has a $49 fare, Spirit $35, or Jet America $9. We are a Delta family. The way I see it, unless she can save $75,000 a year, the benefits of my employment outweighs saving a few bucks here and there. Besides, for some strange reason every time she flew AirTran another passenger, or employee, would try to pick her up. She's cute, friendly and not always aware that some folks can't simply engage in polite conversation on a low cost carrier. Delta does seem to have a better overall level of customer.

It is 2/3rds a 757 with a bunch of new names for avionics. You'll be saying "Primary Flight Display Scale Annunciator" before you know it. With a bid in August, I wonder how many weeks I am going to get to fly it before my next displacement.
