We're going to set up subcommittees to dissect all of the different sections of the TA.

At the end of the day it'll be like a scene out of Apollo 13 where every department checks in with a "GO... flight leader? GO... Gordo? GO!" And so on.

The all important APCF seal of approval will be 5 underboobs out of 5. Anything less, well, will be flat.

The Cast of TL&G. Are you man or racoon enough?

I wasn't in high school in 2001. I graduated in 2000. You can officially listen to me complain again.

Not true. I plan on retiring at 60. I'll retire about 800 on the list assuming we have no more mergers. If I stay until 65 I'll retire top 5.

Red: I disagree. And I am not going to argue the point here. It is my opinion, and we will see in a few years who is correct. I do know this... in the merger world, 1+1 does not = 2. Never has.. never will.
Why is that sad? The world runs on money. My family (most important thing to me) can live a better life with more money.

Hockey, check your numbers. In 2039 I am around 350 on the list... I am pretty sure that you are senior to me, I am guessing you are going to be around 200 at age 60.

Hockey,

it looks like you might have been given the keys to the castle. Just because there is a mote between you and the big house, doesn't mean you should trade those keys for a three bedroom condo across the street.

Wow, you graduated HS in 2000? You have an awesome career ahead of you.

Many pilots on this board were at DAL 10+ years by then. I was a Captain at a Regional by then.

You are right though, you are a DAL pilot and you have a right to complain or be part of the process if you choose.

Yeah yeah.. EVERYBODY says that.. until faced with actually pulling the handles. When you realize that you are at the top of the food chain (like Carl and his posse) and you can work a few days/month and still pull down 6 figures.. and fund that retirement... and not have to worry about paying for that medical.. (what?? you didn't think about THAT?) It's kind of funny actually, I have no clue as to where on the list I will be at 60...62...65... I think pre merger I would have been 300 or so at age 60.. but I have no clue now nor do I really care.

When I was your age I said that I was going at 55. I still think I would be able to if I wanted save the medical which would really put a strain on things... so I'll hang around for a few more years. When I am 62.. I'll reevaluate things based on PBGC and SSN monies.. and who knows where the medical insurance stuff will be.

Point is, you have little sympathy on this board from what I am beginning to see, and I'll tell you that you are a total idiot if you punt DAL and go to SWA.. but to each his own.
