I remember some trying to say that a decent amount of our new flying out of LGA would be mainline, but most of us knew better.

and "Red Flag, the Ultimate Game" (made for TV movie). Several of the guys from my Langley Sq were extras in that movie when they were young capts in the Aggressor Sqs at Nellis. Had a big Friday night in the bar scene that was filmed early in the morning. They all talked about being wild drunk (free drinks from the movie production Co) and it wasn't even 10am

I'm trying to think, there was a corporate guy that had this awful boss and one day they landed and the guy pulled out a $100 bill, showed it to him, and burned it. Said there's your tip. Walked off.

Yeah, those 42 used MD-90's Delta picked up showed that they're not interested in "used" airplanes. But note that since the 739 order we haven't gotten any additional -90's...
If jet fuel dropped to $20 bbl, I bet Anderson would be rebuilding the DC-9 fleet out of the desert. They're spending a boatload of money refurbishing 20+ year old whales and 7ER's with AVOD and flat-beds. Everything is a cost-benefit analysis. With RA's history, whatever produces the biggest return with the best (least) risk will get the nod for our fleet.

I will say, there aren't a whole lot of MD-90s to be had outside of the Saudi's, which may be the reason they're not acquiring much more. Besides, the 739s might have been a homophone deal.
