Happy studying bud! Better you than me.
But given the density of people living in Florida, and assuming that it'd be a ER base (which would mean a raise for some), it would draw like moths to a flame.
Maybe not for the folks living north of MCO, but it's only a 4 hour drive from MCO to MIA straight down the turnpike. FLL is only 20 minutes from MIA, making it a natural co-domicile (the FAs already have that setup). PBI is a bit farther up the road...probably 1:15 from MIA. Heck, the 6:45am departure from FLL to ATL is the THIRD of the day....they could support a SoFL base with FLL alone.
FWIW, the FAs have been rumoring a pilot base in MIA for a couple of months. Take that for what it's worth.

Here's some interesting takeaways from that article:
- Mapes acknowledged that the airlines' imposition of baggage fees was "hostile" to customers. Delta hopes to evolve from just imposing new fees for what once was free -- checked baggage and meals -- toward selling improved services such as premium economy seats and eventually selling customized or bundled offerings. For example, passengers could buy things like food, in-flight Wi-Fi, priority boarding and other services by checking off boxes while booking a flight on Delta's website.
- "Historically, we have seemed to be singularly focused on selling airline tickets, and forgetting that we can sell customers other things," said Glen Hauenstein, Delta's executive vice president of revenue management, marketing and network planning. "We've been starving, and sitting on a ham sandwich the whole time."
- The airline is seeking additional revenue even as it shrinks its flight schedule. Delta plans to trim its flight capacity by 2 to 3 percent next year, and expects to continue reducing its workforce through methods such as buyouts and attrition, according to Chief Executive Richard Anderson.
- Southwest Airlines, which is taking over AirTran Airways and entering Atlanta, is exiting some of the smaller cities AirTran served from Atlanta, which "opened up a lot of opportunity" for Delta, Hauenstein said. But that may be offset by the new markets Southwest is entering, he added. Hauenstein also said Southwest has been "less aggressive" in discounting than AirTran was -- which he said was a positive for Delta.

So you paid for flight training and DELTA did not give you a job and you were screwed? Did DELTA guarantee you a job or an interview? If you failed the interview if so why? and what have you done to better yourself? Did you think if you paid someone money for training you were entitled to a job?
You did not wright very much other than a complaint, so it leaves you open to a lot of questions. I am willing to listen and perhaps you can prove to me that DELTA owes you something. I am reasonable.

His comment was in the context of DAL sees itself as selling more than airline seats. Context is important in following threads. Boomer has never said anyone owed him anything. He made a humorous comment. Humor can be difficult to follow.
Yeah I thought it had to be political. He took less money to go to a mid major conference. I know all those guys have egos.. but dayam. The coaching shuffle is pretty interesting this year. Fat Charlie to Kansas... *** are they thinking there? I hate to see him go though. He would have ensured a few years of mediocrity in gainesburg...
You, sir, are enabling management to save 2.99 each month on internet porn. Reading your posts provides a suitable substitute with equivalent results.
It's just a hunch (well, it's more than that), but I'm thinking management will not bargain fairly or honestly unless we exhibit the
1) ability; and
2) willingness
to stick up for ourselves.
Do you think we'll get what we're worth by relying on the company's benevolent paternalism? Do you rely on them to tell you what you're worth? Have you ever voted "no?" If not...why not? Do you think Delta pilots have always negotiated the best possible deal?

There's that word again-suck. Fine, posting the picture...
Looks like a water hose to me, no golf ball. Maybe it's not possible. Except of course for Private Cowboy who Gunnery Sargent Hartman said could do it.

Charlie is a weird one. He leaves the Pat's and they don't seemingly miss him. Gets to ND and they're awful, but they're awful anyways. He goes to MCI and that team is on fire, leaves and it collapses. Gets to UF and sucks. Or is that him or is it Muschamp? I bet so, maybe he saw the writing on the wall. T, I think you'll have some fun years at UF's expense. I think Meyer left them in a hole that Muschamp isn't good enough to get them out of.

Whereas today:
Wednesdays should hereafter be known as "humpday" and those under utilized, under paid and under employed reserve pilots will avail themselves to searching to the edge of the internet for delicious honeys to ponder and distract us as our career slowly circles the porcelain.
So moved by the Right Reverend, Bucking Bar, Esq. Do I have a second?
Twins are not required, but encouraged none the less:
- SWA gets perfect scope and a pile of new efficient jets
- American gets EFB's
- and we get nothing but a CEO who wants a pump and dump consolidation crapsandwich deal
- and Fridays are known for hooning on APC with little Mod interference

Meyer didn't leave them in any hole. They are loaded with 4 and 5 star talent. I don't Muschump is very good, but Charlie is clueless. The players Meyer had were spread players, and Charlie tried to run a pro style. But what do I know.. anybody can be a Monday morning QB. I certainly hope that Dooley kicks 'em pretty hard though.. THAT would be really fun for a change.
I'm all about the Tim Tebow read option now.
