See, they have to pay pilots more to entice them to leave the 88. Just go look at the pay rate tables for proof.

If you actually wanted to live in NYC, NJ or PHL (driving distance), you could probably have a pretty nice career.

Now why would they do that? The openly admitted in the Crew Planning News, that the reason for the 320 going to NYC and the ER flying domestic was to cut "their" costs on hotel rooms. A BOS base does exactly opposite of that.
