There is more in the contract about white slipping etc. if you are a regular line holder while in training but you get the gist with the above....if you are in training for the entire month, you should get a minimum of the ALV.

Funny that Delta wouldn't give FO's a PIC type in the 737. Wonder why?

ALL FOs on 737 get a type.
I got one out of training. But that was in 09'. I do not see why they do not type all pilots in all aircraft. In the 75/76 and 73 it was just an extra approach or two in the left seat and a taxi exercise.
So now when your 60+ year old capt passes out, you can kick them out of the seat and taxi the jet in

I'm a proud Boatschooler, but it's kind of sad that we have to import our 'campus hotties' from somebody else's campus

If only I could find a picture of Tebow with a hot girl sitting in an MD88....the ultimate Trifecta.

No chance, Tebow's head, and her boobs, would never fit in that small cockpit!
Seems to me, if you are junior, it matters. If you are senior, it also matters. Type rated means you can log in command time while flying your leg. If furloughed in the future, that could mean the difference between direct hire captain and no job offer.
So we're taking over the leases on 2 of GOL's 767..I assume this means we now will be flying them also?
2nd question..the slot swap fetched a pretty penny..Does Delta and US Airways get this $$ or does the gov't?
